Seriously showdown

I'm starting to feel it as well.
That being said, I'm not sure anything has really changed other than, after a dozen+ runs, I'm just over being forced to take 80% of pitches for the game to start rewarding positive outcomes. It's obvious that the mode favors/demands you wear down the pitcher and after a while it just becomes tedious.

I refuse to play showdown.

I completed the First Inning Showdown on my second attempt, although there was plenty of frustration. But these Divisional Showdowns have been driving my crazy. This game mode is so obviously rigged. I can’t stand it.
But because I am not willing to pay for stubs I have to play it. It’s torturous, really. It makes me not want to play the game. I turn my PS4 off after attempting Showdown all the time. It’s a total bummer.
Take pitches and be patient. Also if you have a runner on 1st, look down in the zone. Start PCI down in zone. Computer loves to try to get you to hit into a double play by throwing at the bottom of the zone. Change your lineup on the showdowns to your best hitters as defense doesn't matter.

It's the worst man. I saved a clip of thee most incredible diving catch I've ever seen by 72 OVR RF Harold Ramirez (57 fielding, 56 reaction) on veteran difficulty. As soon as the ball hit the bat he was at full speed and then managed to get up and rocket the ball to the cut off. Like why?
I know that a player like this shouldn’t make these levels of plays that often, but they can still happen. It’s not like bad defensive players never make amazing plays in the MLB. Also, I feel like people get worked up about one or two of their outs being taken away, when they have 15 or 20 to work with. They need to focus on some mistakes they made and not just that the computer robbed them of 5 or 10 percent of their outs.

Geez never made WS and beat 1st Inning on second try after barely missing on the first, AL East on first try. Take pitches people!! Use the right perks, don’t swing unless you have 2 strikes, drain the energy and confidence bars...

I was on a good streak of winning 4 or 5 showdowns in a row. I just draft and skip to the final boss. Then I had a game with two robbed catches over the wall and hit into 4 double plays. Hey it happens and it’s expected some games.
Next game I score 8 runs and only recorded 1 out meaning I had 19 outs to get 8 more runs. Now my contact results started really not making sense. I mean a popped ball on a good swing with the pci covering the entire ball? That happened a few times. Also weak contact with the ball almost dead center and a good swing? The perfect hits were either directly to them or warning track. The contact results turned into a roulette wheel it was crazy. Needless to say I lost that one 14-15.
I would be fine with all the bs like I am with moments because moments is free. You now charge us stubs to deal with this [censored]? That’s my issue there.

Showdown is easy...when the computer isn't set up to win ahead of time, by giving you outs on Perfect/Perfect like 5 times, then hits on BS contact with 1 out left...I don't need the "suspense" SDS, just be consistent.

I agree, one play here and there isn't going to make a difference and when I lose in showdown is normally because of my own mistakes. It was just a double take moment where I had to pause and see who the hell just did that. Would definitely be nice though if my above avg fielders didn't react and throw to the cutoff in slow motion only to be .25 seconds late on a tag.

Lols when the 1st baseman is Spider-Man and when the booty of turn into Andrew jones every good squared or perfect perfect. It pisses me off with all the good feedbacks that are outs. The good news is they seem to throw mistakes when yours close to 2 outs left on the boss

What I think they are saying is that it’s crazy this happens so much on rookie when you would expect it more on legend with the same player.
SDS likely pulls the same BS they do with Moments where they screw with the sliders to make it harder than it actually says. You can tell because you can play a Moment on veteran and it’s a completely different experience than playing conquest on veteran.
