I don’t understand how the devs have not fixed the hitting timing in the show yet. How do the best contact players on my DD team miss the ball when the have good timing on multiple pitches in the same at bat. Its with all different players too. I just don't understand how they didn't have issues like this in years prior, but all of a sudden pitchers have just gained a significant advantage.

It almost seems like they worked so hard on getting cross-platform play, that they were fine with losing the integrity of the game. It’s honestly sad because ive played this game since it was a 2k game and they progressively gotten worse by the years

This was never a 2k game. Think it was 989 sports at one time though. Also cross platform play wasn't something SDS wanted to do, it was something that had to be done. At least that's how I understood it. They didnt have a say so on keeping it PS only. And the game has gotten much better in recent years.

MLB 2k15 was a game. If SDS didnt want cross platform, then they didnt need it. They have gone many years without it. If there were forced to become cross-platfrom, then there should be server issues finding a game due to a lack of commitment to having the feature. And yes the game has gotten better with graphics and control of players, but the hitting has been on the same baseline since SDS has taken over. While the pitching has gotten so much better it doesn’t seem that skill has any effect on a game. Its truly a flip of a coin if you hit it or not.

2k games is a completely different company. Mlb the show and mlb 2k ran concurrently for years. SDS didn't take over 2k games lol. And there was no 2k 15. MlB the show was just a much better game and mlb 2k couldn't keep up and stopped making baseball games.

Oh and no, they didn't get to chose whether or not to allow this game to go on multiple platforms or not. Their bosses made the decision.

You really don't seem to know what you're talking about. As someone else pointed out, SDS and 2K are not the same developer. SDS didn't have a choice regarding cross platform as MLB forced them to become cross platform. They would have lost the license otherwise. Hitting has evolved over the years, and while people will argue about whether or not it is "good", there are definitely improvements. Perfect/perfect is still relatively new. Pinpoint was added this year which has led to skill being more important. Less random floating pitches down the middle.

What exactly do you think is wrong with the hitting timing? What has to be fixed, because I and many others can hit just fine.

What are you talking about dude, timing is one of the best things about this game. I play at Legend with pitch speeds maxed and I can tell when I'm on and off almost every single time, why can't you?. The problem is either you're not very good and you expect instant gratification, you lack practice, play on a TV instead of a monitor, DD is inconsistent with internet speed...or just a combination of those things.

Going from a TV to a monitor helped me immensely with timing. I’m still not very good but it has made me use zone instead of directional and I am getting much more enjoyment out of it.
