Cheating CPU in corners

Ive lost several games where the cpu will hit the ball into the corner, Im attempting to steer my guy there but he's going in the opposite direction that im moving the joystick!!!! meanwhile cpu scores and wins. This needs to be fixed!!!!

Sounds like stick drift. Has nothing to do with the game. Look it up on YouTube. It can be fixed. You just need a paper clip.
Edit: just noticed you're Xbox. Idk if stick drift affects Xbox but maybe check anyway.

Another thing that may be happening is that the game choses a fielder that isn't the closest to the ball. So you're moving the center fielder to the right but the game chose to activate the RF, and you end up taking a step away from the ball. I've had this happen rarely, but it's annoying when it does. I don't know how to fix it other than give an extra split second to confirm which fielder is activated.

it is not stick drift i assure you. it's poor coding might be on the "port over" to xbox. to the second poster the blue ring showing that we are using this fielder is around the character when it happens. Last night i was pulling him down and he was running to the right as hard as he could its bad coding
