Didn't mean to come off so aggressive in my last post -- my bad!
As for "pitching respectfully," I suppose my take would be pitching in the zone at least half the time. NOT "meatballs." I throw about 60-70% strikes (if not more) and rely on strategy and skill rather than the simple fact that most people can't catch up to outliers. I'm almost always ahead in the count and will certainly throw 58 foot curves/changes or backfoot sliders, but not regularly on 0-0, 1-0, 2-0 counts.
And yes, most people CAN'T invest the time necessary to "git gud" at reading uber-buffed pitching to make WS. Lots of older players, like me, have stuff to do and/or want to play the game (as opposed to practicing it).
All respect! Take care

My run to WS took a serious nosedive this afternoon after getting 3 disconnects and then losing a game in the 9th where I was up my 2. Sucks

My biggest challenge is overshooting my PCI when I jam that sucker down/up/left/right

Same. Someone on here mentioned it would be nice to be able to set PCI sensitivity.

The biggest thing is the consistency it’s like every game requires different timing windows. If the speed were consistent doesn’t matter how fast ppl
would adjust in time but we all know this isn’t the case unfortunately. -
I enjoy HOF ️ (Now I’m gonna get bashed for enjoying the game everyone hates)

That is absolutely not what he is referencing when he says pitching respectfully. Pitching respectfully is not throwing the same pitch over and over again because you have shown you can't hit it, like gassing you up and in over and over again because you can't turn on it. Hence they don't respect you and don't feel like they have to vary their spots. It has nothing to do with giving you hittable balls. You have to force them to do that yourself by making them respect the fact that you are competent enough to work a walk and show you can turn on the inside fastball.

When the connections/servers are working good (which seems to be around 25%), HOF is the most fun rank. Once I get to around 850 and already made the WS, I will tank down to around 750 to stay in the HOF area. If the game is playing super bad or I need a bunch of wins for 40, I will go lower. Sometimes hitting on all star is a chore. Game is very inconsistent. I would prefer a game that is consistent and I could see how far I can get.

HOF is indeed on crack. In previous years, I was always a .290-.300 hitter. This year I legitimately haven't cracked .250 in any season so far.
it's because pinpoint pitching is too easy and many people have mastered it
Nope. Hitting was going to be harder this year without pinpoint anyway. It seems like they juiced up the pitch speeds, pitch break, and timing windows. The ball is also smaller. Everything needs to be toned back about 3 notches and they need to completely redo the sinker...

I actually feel hitting is easier/better than it was last year. Last year hitting was good for like 4 days then they tweaked after official release and it just completely sucked [censored].
Hitting this year is definitely better than last year IMO. PPP being too forgiving is the issue. Dotting on 80% (and less) accuracy with perfect release is a problem.

I don't mean this to come off as rude, but "pitching respectfully" might be one of the dumbest concepts I've ever seen on this forum. Unless you're intentionally trolling by hitting every batter or something like that, whatever you throw should be fair game.
I throw the majority of my pitches in the zone, but if my opponent is swinging wildly on every 0-0, 1-0, or 2-0 count and I pick up on that, then why should I continue to throw it in the zone? That would be a poor strategy. The whole point of pitching is to get your opponent out, and you do that by throwing something they don't expect or putting in a location they can't do anything with. When you're pitching, you're looking for their strengths and weaknesses. If my opponent is able to turn on a couple of fastballs up and in, then it would be foolish to continue to throw it up there. If my opponent can't hit a fastball up and in, it would be foolish NOT to throw it up there when you need an out. If my opponent is going to swing at every single pitch I throw, guess what? The pitches won't be in the zone anymore until they figure out how to take a pitch.
Sure, you can argue that spamming the same pitch over and over again is boring and unrealistic, but I would argue that it is up to the opponent to make you change your strategy. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". If they don't want the same pitch over and over again, they have to do something about that by making the pitcher pay.

Setting PCI sensitivity means that you can choose how sensitive you want it in the settings for your settings, not SDS do it for every player lololololololol

I know what you mean. But think about it for a second on how it won't be an even playing field.

Thank you for that explanation. I hope you are correct and that is what OP meant, because that made an insane amount of sense to me.
