The slot-machine of the Gaming World

I play the casinos. Love the games of chance. But I like to have, at least, some influence on outcomes. Love BlackJack, all poker games. Games where skill and experience can have some bearing on the outcomes.
Hate the slots and roulette table. Those are games for the old folk and, no offense, women.
MLB The Show is a Slot machine and roulette table rolled into one.
Moments is, also, reminiscent of a scratch off lottery ticket that takes 20 minutes or so to scratch off.
It's just boring spending even 5 minutes playing a game with an outcome that is completely randomized.
For all of you that love-love Moments..hang in there. I'm sure you'll be the ones growing up playing the one-armed bandits. Nothing wrong with that mind you. They are safe, easy..albeit somewhat boring. And some people gravitate to that less exciting world.
I'm going back to FIFA and play something that is more akin to a good Poker game. Where the player's strategy and skill do have effect.
Thought I would never find myself playing FIFA again AFTER The Show came out in April. But, I got sucked in by the new Card Preview option. Played a couple games and realized...both games are heavy-loaded DDA, but it's just not as obvious in FIFA. I really feel, in FIFA, that I'm actually playing soccer and not watching the AI display animation and generate bat sound effects like is The Show experience.
Different strokes for different folks.

Maybe I'll share some of my FIFA successes with ya. Really ought to give it a try, they're introducing Hyper Motion in just a couple months (FIFA 22). Man, is that gonna be COOL!My understanding, this is all hear-say mind you, EA is considered The Show of developer talent. The guys from SDS are minor leaguers just waiting for their chance. Occasionally EA does pick up some of the more talented folks from SDS. It's like going from Blue Wahoos to the Reds. Ha..just funnin' ya.

$1.5 billion last year in FUT revenues alone. They must be some darn good liars. And pretty good at promoting an online game that generates such revenues.
But really, it's just because FUT really is a lot more exciting and immersive. It has its wrinkles, but they are fast moving and dynamic wrinkles.
Unlike..well, I've hammered on SDS enuf. They try hard. Ya gotta give 'em that.

And, this thread is not intended to be about EA at all. It's not at all about dumping on TS. It's all about spelling out the differences between fun and immersive - Poker/Black Jack and slow/boring/random - slot machines. scratch-off cards, and roulette wheels.
Some are poker players..some are scratchers.
