The AI baserunning is only good when it's not for your team. I've seen deep gappers in Det and SF and the 2B runner just stands there
Don’t even bother, the OP is an idiot that thinks everything is scripted in this game. He only post stupid garbage claiming DDA is responsible for it even though DDA is a patented decision making table that is coded into EA sports games that works to supposedly randomize results to help less skilled player stay in games against highly skilled players.

I've always hit L1 to tag up and advance when there is only one runner on base. I'm 100% sure it still works this way...until a "don't allow a run code" is triggered and the animation just gets weird trying to ensure that. Then it brings attention to the AI control that is always there and which actually determines outcomes. In this case it was just obvious manipulation at the cost of WTF's sake.

Conquest game. Johnny Damon on 3rd with one out. Rizzo at bat. Riz launches one very deep to left-field almost to warning track. I'm hitting the left-bumper, holding the left-bumper, jumping up and down on the left bumper.....Damon just stands there about 2 strides off of 3rd motionless. Finally he runs back to 3rd after the LF throws the ball to cutoff guy.
Is this DDA code trying to police a run? Is this just a bug? I do have the video if anyone wants to see it.
Had you highlighted the runner he would’ve return on your command. But because it’s you it must’ve been that trademarked EA sports decision table that you call DDA. SMFH

Figured, for smarter guy's sake, I would meticulously describe what happened.
Baserunner on 3rd base..one out. I hit a deep fly ball to left-field. As ball descends into left-fielders glove, I hit L1 (PS5 controller smarter guy) to tag up. Nothing happens..baserunner stands there..I hit L1 again..baserunner stands there...I press and hold L1..baserunner stands there.
It's a bug smarter guy, no matter how you slice it.
I know exactly what happened and if you had highlighted the runner like the patch said when they patched it in update 1 you wouldn’t be once again wasting our time with this drivel.
You probably have a very hard time understanding things you read. Nothing wrong with that and I would never make fun of ppl that have those issues.
I'll repeat it one time..just for you because I know everyone else has likely caught on already. L1 = advance all runners. I pushed L1..several times in fact. That's the end. If you still don't get it..whatevs.
And once again I understood exactly what you said and it was discussed in the fielding update in patch one that pressing L1 was not necessarily going to trigger a response from your runners and that you would have to select the runner to get immediate responses on fly balls where a play might possibly happen and on foul balls. But hey you’re going to continue to bang your head and claw at your face so I’m done. It was addressed and too bad if you can’t accept that. Have a good day.

I've always hit L1 to tag up and advance when there is only one runner on base. I'm 100% sure it still works this way...until a "don't allow a run code" is triggered and the animation just gets weird trying to ensure that. Then it brings attention to the AI control that is always there and which actually determines outcomes. In this case it was just obvious manipulation at the cost of WTF's sake.
