A Conquest Experiment

So I finished beating every stronghold on the US map today, but I still had 243 territories left to go. I timed it and it took me 46 minutes and 7 seconds of strictly simulating games to beat the map. It has to be one of the most mind numbing experiences I've had playing the show. I love this game and conquest is fun, but the setup seriously needs an update. It hasn't been changed in ages and its a nightmare to sim games for that long.

Simulating this year seem like a major time drain compared to years past. Don't know why that is.
-
I did the same a while back, as I wanted to know if the simming really was as bad as it felt, or if I was overreacting.
I had conquered all the strongholds on the pizza map, along with some other surrounding tiles, and needed to finish it off. It wound up taking 20 minutes.
There’s a lot that I don’t necessarily find fun and seems like busy work (cough...moments) but 20 minutes just simming is ridiculous,I’m on a second play through of the US map and I’m not sure I’ll even bother finishing it once I conquer the strongholds. Not sure a 10 pack or whatever it is is worth it.

Bro I feel you. I beat the last of the strongholds on another go around of the map the other day and still have yet to sim everything else. I.. i just don’t want to

Yah it gets really boring so now I conquer the map as I conquer strongholds instead of waiting til the end. Probably takes just as long but I'm not sitting there just simming forever

Obviously it all depends on what you get in the 10 pack. My best card from it was 79 Miguel Rojas soooooo not worth it

Yeah it seems much slower this year.
Also I don’t know why it says you can hit square to skip AI moves, when it doesn’t skip anything.
There’s gotta be a way to make it sim instantly. I don’t need to see every fan ticking on either side until one side gets to zero.
-
I sim as I go because I can't stomach doing a bunch at once. It's so bad and so slow. It should be instantaneous, I don't need to see the stupid numbers or to keep pressing buttons when I win or to skip AI moves. They definitely need to speed it up. It's a shame too because conquest is easily the best way to play solo.

Yeah, the skip moves has been broken forever.
and I completely agree, like it'd be one thing if you could cancel the sim, but since you can't, why watch it tick down one by one.
