Sense of urgency

Is it just me or is anyone else experiencing a lock of a sense of urgency after your outfielder fields/catches a ball?
Its like there's a delay from when I press the button for them to throw to the baseman or cutoff man.

I have noticed a difference for sure. Some times if I hit a ball and to me is an easy fly out the outfielder will literally slow down to half speed and let it drop and he easily could have caught it. Also today a new thing that happened was a fly ball to center my guy was running in to catch it and he literally stopped dead in his tracks, I'm still holding my stick down for him to keep running, but the computer decided no your not gonna get there and let it drop... was not a happy camper after that blew my perfect game in the 8th with two outs, was only against the cpu but still I like beating up the computer when I get the chance lol

I'm not talking about making the catch. Making the catch/getting to the ball is fine.
It's after they catch/get the ball there is a few second delay from when I hit the button to when they throw it.
I just had someone take second, from first, with a player with 0 speed because my left fielder took forever to throw it to second.

Oh my bad, ya thats been happening for quite a while now. Doesn't happen every time, but when it does it's blatantly bad! I had a 33 speed get a triple on a simple bounce off the wall, center fielder got the ball I pushed to throw to cut off man and he just stood there even though the bar was above his head in the green. So I pushed Y, on xbox, to throw to second... he still just stood there!!! By now the guy is on his way to third so now I push X for third and finally center fielder throws it to cut off guy... this was the worst case I've had, there have been others almost identical to what you explained at least 6-8 times for me.

Oh you mean the catch then the outrageous 2 to 4 steps then the crow hop and throw. Or the SS fields a ball and runs [censored] near to third base before the throw animation kicks in? It’s a serious problem they have and just one of the many flaws that irritates me

These fielder animations are so slow it's almost funny. Like, why does my short stop feel the need to make a running start towards third (with no one on of course, and it's like 4 or 5 steps) prior to throwing to first. Then you get the outfielder who catches the ball, looks at it for marks, dusts it off, does a double pump, and then throws to the cut off while the single to the right by a 99 speed guy turns into a triple.

I agree - but it feels directly correlated to how busy the servers are/how bad the connection is with the opponent, which sucks, because I've found guys on wifi know how to exploit it.
