Conquest for dummies?

Can someone recommend some videos or post explaining how to play Conquest? Not just strategy, but on a granular "push this button to do this" level.
I have probably watched 20 different videos and they all mainly cover strategy. I am still not getting it when I go to play and seem to be stuck after playing one game.

When you reach the end of a turn, hit the 'Start' button (or whatever that thing is by the top right of the touch pad). That will allow you to advance to your next task (Attack, Steal, Fortify, Move).

I’ll try. Usually when you start a new conquest, you have one territory, your stronghold, with a certain amount of fans on it.
Your turn consists of attack, where you try to expand your territory/ take other teams strongholds,
steal fans where you try to take fans from the opponents in a 3 inning game,
reinforce, where you reassign your reinforcements to territories. You get 1 extra fan for every 3 territories you have
Move fans - where you take your fans who are in a spot they cannot move from to a usable spot.Most of these should end on their own, reinforce after you drop all your guys off, steal fans after you play the one game, or attack when you can’t make any moves. You can always end a turn early, by pushing the options button on PlayStation, probably start on XBox

I think that might be the part I am missing.
