How awful is the shortened delivery animation?

It seems like it clips because it's not a fully transitioned animation. The ball seems to magically jump out of the pitcher's hand with no logical progression. You're telling me that they can't fix this? The game does many things well, but this is the worse sin of them all.

Which pitcher? And If you’re having trouble with the animation then I’d switch from zone to directional to get the timing of the release down, then when you’re comfortable, switch back to zone.

I believe OP is referring to pitchers he’s facing. For example, Jansen/Riviera. They don’t force the pitcher to come set so when you’re facing them, the pitch comes out half way through their wind up. It’s been this way for years and nothing other than adding in balks will correct the issue. Just need to be ready for it.
