Gold Jerseys & Icons - What to do with?

So occasionally I'll pull a gold jersey or icon from a standard pack. I don't spend money on this game, so stubs are hard to come by for me. Is there any purpose in keeping these? Most of them have Buy Orders in for 500 Stubs. Obviously I would just QS them for 500 to avoid the tax.

But I guess my question is, is there any downside to QS these things? Trying to save up stubs to complete the Live Series Collection.

Sell….I only did the silver jersey collection cause I had earned most of them; sold duplicates and bought missing.

Cost of golds far outweigh collection reward.
