I don’t know if adds to the difficulty. Just an un necessary strain on the eye balls. I can’t see a lot of people being fans of this.

No, you can't make 1928 in color. Sorry, blame technology. You'll be ok dear, you got this!

In all of your posts in this thread you are acting extremely childish, which is funny since you're making assumptions about Pox's age. It is possible to disagree with someone on the forum without acting like a tool. If you were trying to be funny...it didn't work.

Also, the moments are from 1962-1963, which was just before color TV's become popular a few years later. There are plenty of highlights of Juan Marichal in color. An on/off toggle is not an unreasonable request, and it should be incredibly easy to implement.

It would be nice to retroactively add colors to these moments in time, but the great Scientician John Color didn't invent them until 1966

I thought the black and white filter was a cool addition the first time I saw it back in 19 with the Babe Ruth moments, but at this point the novelty has worn off for me. I found it a little annoying when playing all of those moments back to back yesterday, and there really is no reason for there not to be an on/off toggle.

The main issue for most people is that it makes the ball a little harder to see along with some of the meters/indicators. If you like the novelty of it, there are still little things that make it feel off. We're playing in a modern park instead of a retro one like Polo Grounds from the Ruth moments. The fans also wear modern clothing which clashes with the black and white aesthetic. Having the fans wear time appropriate clothing would be pretty cool, although I understand that would be a lot of work that probably wouldn't be worth the trouble for a few moments. I can't actually see SDS devoting resources to something like that anytime soon. Film grain would also make it more immersive, although that would make seeing even more difficult.

I just feel that they should either commit to it all the way, or give you the option to turn it off. As it stands right now, it feels a little half-assed.

The black and white is interesting if we're 'watching on television' or maybe for the really old moments, 'the cinematogram, a wonder of the modern world.' But the PPP meter could still be in colour, yes?

I could get down with this. Like if they went full out and used old stadiums and also had teams full of yesteryear’s players, that would be pretty cool. Probably way more effort than they want to commit though.

I agree wholeheartedly. I just now saw this thread to see whether there was an option to turn black and white off to find this person who thinks they’re the life of every party acting smart and when someone proves that his point (which I initially thought was a joke) is dumb. I took a look through his posts and found that he surely enough acted like this in multiple instances. News flash, Mr. “Lucas 8181,” you’re not funny or smart and all you’re accomplishing is being a selfish loser.
