I see no issue in allowing people to have whatever cards they like... the better player will always win in a game and many of us only play offline

I have played maybe 5 total games online this year

    Yeah, valid argument.

Different strokes for different folks. Just don't know if this forum...(Community) is representative of the majority. So many people appear to get shot down when they make suggestions of alternate ways. Not always..and not everyone..but it "seems" to be a rule not exception.

Again, don't know how to fix it.

A shot in the dark and likely pretty dumb...have a poll/drop/event/whatever that is heavily advertised. Market the heck out of it. Try to reach as many DD players as possible.

Offer a high quality card for anyone that completes a survey. Of course the survey would ask some very poignant questions about likes/dislikes in the current DD.

Again, this is just a shoot-from-the-hip suggestion that probably has holes in it as big as Javy Baez's strike zone.

It is what it is, nothing will change unless choice packs actually become about making a decision and not looking at who sells for the most. I’d be okay with it now and and the pros and cons are pretty even.

For example if inning bosses were an actual choice and non sellable, people wouldn’t be boosting to sell them for an extra 100,000 stubs day 1. The people who took Valenzuela would have been rewarded with a great player for there team as opposed to just more stubs for other players in the future, people who didn’t choose him couldn’t just buy him with a bunch of boosted coins next inning either.

The cons don’t even exist to me but some people need to own all 354 diamonds instead of 344 even if there is only spots for about 20 of them.

Never thought about the influence of the market, but I'm sure you're right.

Tbh there are some players in my team like Trout, Soriano that I can’t hit with

But free players like Bichette and Blackmon I do better with. Go figure.

Honestly I enjoy the content structure they have at the moment. I have yet to run into the exact same inexpensive twice yet and have never faced a mirror of my team so I think with all the high rated cards there is more variety than you think.

This is true for me, I just don't hit very well with Trout. Probably a great 1.000 batting average, 1000 hr's, 1000 rbis for everyone else, for me not so much...

You don't have to pay for packs but the amount of time it takes is crazy. If you don't get lucky and get good diamond pulls from packs it takes a while

Great thing about this game is you really never have to drop a dime to have as stellar roster as the next guy. Really don't have to be that skilled..just invest some time.

The not-great thing about this game is, because of that structure, anyone can have any card. Then, eventually, you have the same rosters of highest-rated cards perpetually playing each other in RS.

Don't know if there is a great middle ground. This is not a complaint, merely an observation.

So i suck online lol, but i'm working at getting better. i grind away to get the best cards i can, i spent 40$ extra for the 100$ Jackie Robinson edition. i havent spent any money else where. i have a pretty loaded squad, but i win a couple then lose a couple as i've said im not very good. This is my first year of messing with diamond dynasty. I also got lucky and pulled a Trout the 2nd pack of my 10 pack bonus for the Jackie robinson edition and sold it, and it paid for a lot of things...however its the last card i need for the AL now lol. What i'm saying is that great players are good with good cards, bad players like myself are still bad with a great squad lol.

And great players are often bad with great cards when it's their turn in the barrel.

So, if your point is cards don't make a ton of difference and skill doesn't make much difference..I'll agree.

If you think the amount of high rated cards is out of control right now, just wait a couple months. There will be easily over a hundred 99s if its anything like last year.

    That would be a travesty.

I'm still trying to figure out the focus of this game. I don't know if it's trying to be everything to every customer (that's impossible).

High level MLB simulation or dummy-downed arcade.

Engrossing card market dictated by cards, owners, and market trends or just a cache of players that anyone can acquire relatively easily. With most of the buying/selling being done artificially.

Competitive head-to-head competition or randomized parity.

    It's been interesting.

I agree, I have not spent any money nor have I spent any of my stubs on a pa k in the store.

I have the Live Series done, and working on The TA Collection.

    This game is amazing!

Most years they do have a survey that asks specific questions not just about DD, but all of the game modes.

Idk if they’re going to do it this year or not. It seems like they’ve usually put it out by now, although I could be wrong.

Edit to say there was a survey about the game shortly after release this year, but it was put out by PlayStation and was different than the one I’m referring to. With it finally being available on Xbox this year, that’s what I’m playing the game on. But obviously I had to play it on PlayStation in previous years, which I assume is why PlayStation still sent me the survey invite.
