Errors need to be addressed

A couple of things. You are using a common fielding third baseman which can cause it’s share of errors. As for the errant throws, this could be reduced with button accuracy.

Still shouldn’t make so many errors in a row, and my shortstop is a legit good shortstop, can’t field a routine ball ? Those kinda errors shouldn’t happen with such frequency… As far as the meter throwing, I can use that but it feels kinda goofy, I like the sim factor of the player making the throw, just my preference… But errors need to be toned down, it shouldn’t happen like this especially with errors sliders being all the way down… It might be Edgars 2nd position at 3rd, but he’s not playing for the bad news Bears … LoL occasional error I’m ok with…

You could try analog throwing and turn meter feedback off. I use it online but turn feedback on.

Thanks for the tip, will play around with it …

That was pretty brutal to watch other than the diving try from the 3b. The throws though are fixed with a meter. Not sure how you fix that many throwing problems any other way. I have played 1000s of games and never seen that many errors in one inning so I'm not sure anything I can say would be helpful really. That sucks though going through that.
I know you said you don't like the meter but it's your only way to control the way people throw. It always seems that when left to the games RNG, you'll be on the losing end at the worst times.

LoL yeah that was brutal… I’m hoping a patch addresses that, especially the easy fielding play’s where they just botch it and can’t glove it … As far as throwing it’s interesting that they throw great most of the time and then in the clutch they seem to choke, maybe possible comeback logic for the CPU ? Hard to say, but I might have no choice but to go with the meter if that keeps up… Would love to see them tone that down a bit.. Appreciate the input man …

Out of curiosity, what mode were you playing? I watched the play but didn't focus on the scoreboard or anything. Was that DD offline or was that franchise?
edit I'm an idiot, I didn't even see the alcs thing at the start, obviously franchise or M2O.

LoL no worries …. Yeah it was franchise offline vs the CPU, ALDS game 4 …. I was playing on Legend Pitching level and HOF hitting level…

One thing to take into consideration, if you try to throw pushing the button repeatedly, or try to push the button of the throw before the fielder catches the ball, or push the button when the pose of the fielder makes it harder to throw in real life, all of that is criteria for the engine to display a bad throw. Another thing, is that when you are allowing two or more consecutive first pitch good contacts, the engine punish you for weak pitching with this fielding errors. This is a game mechanic designed originally imo for the multiplayer, so I don't know why is being used when the CPU is playing, although if its a core gameplay logic, I can definitively see it being applied to the CPU games as well.

Yeah I never mash the button, that would make sense to cause an error…. I have noticed when playing this seems to happen more often in clutch situations when the CPU is trailing, so I’m thinking it could be a comeback logic thing built it… It happens most often when I’m ahead in a close game…. It’s hard to say if it’s a clutch factor rating with the infielder as far as his ability level or the CPU just deciding it’s time to make a little comeback with some butter fingers … Either way it’s frustrating seeing such easy play’s result in errors … I’m ok with that happening rarely like it does in real life baseball, just not so much on routine play’s…

Loving the game so far overall, simulation gameplay feels good so far offline vs the CPU, it’s a nice step, BUT there are some routine error issues that need to be patched in a big way! Here is a playoff game, Mariners vs Twins, I’m up 2-1 in the series, getting close to closing it out, and suddenly my infielders decide fielding routine play’s is a serious challenge, they can’t field, they can’t throw… LoL I was actually cracking up, BUT I want the game to be as good as it can be, and this seriously needs patching… I also turn errors down all the way with sliders because I feel like errors shouldn’t happen that often, but rather on a rare occasion … So this could be an even worse problem with sliders set to normal with errors … Also I should mention I don’t like using the throw meter, it doesn’t feel real to me and I like the simulation feel, so maybe the throw meter would help this situation, but regardless this shouldn’t be happening like this … SDS really needs to address this!

I have yet to see one outfield catching error the outfield catches everything but if my team is the team that’s in the field only then are errors possible the computer doesn’t make any errors whatsoever in the outfield they have not made one error this is so unrealistic -
No lie I’ve been playing the show for over a month and the computer has yet to make an outfield catching error the Infield makes errors but the outfield does not ever make catching errors this is so unrealistic
-
I have noticed that the computer outfield never makes an error. That had me a bit puzzled as well. And I have had an issue with recently my infield is having trouble here and there making double plays. I’ll field the ball throw the ball to second and mt second baseman will just hold the ball then throw it to first after the runner is safe. Has anyone had this issue. But it only just started happening.

Yes, sometimes they also throw it really slow to first, like a gentle lob so the runner easily makes it to first …
