Tried something new yesterday

So, last online game of the night and I had lost a close one right before, so I was frustrated.
I’m facing 99 kluber for the 5th time in 7 games so I’m annoyed as all hell from the jump.
I pitch walker buehler and after giving up two no doubters in the first 2 innings I pinch hit for him with Ryan klesko and go deep to make it 2-1. From there, I put in Aroldis Chapman and followed with a different bullpen arm every inning till the 9th, where I myself put in 99 kluber and ultimately lost due to that move. But I’m curious to know if anyone else has played with the idea of a bullpen game since it is possible now. It was honestly a lot of fun to try and maybe someone else has had more success with it than I have.

Not a full bullpen game. I did do the “opener” last week for 3-4 games. I enjoyed it honestly. A lot of moving parts and paying closer attention than usual. But I don’t think people expect it.

I tried an opener my 3rd game and he got lit up for 4 runs, but it was also chad green so that may be why

Twice I’ve pulled my righty starter early in the game (even pitching well) to bring in Chris Sale because my opponent had a stacked lefty lineup.
Both times I regretted it. I think when you bring a starter out of the pen their confidence is low because I normally pitch pretty well with Sale.

I didnt use an opener, but in the 3rd inning of a game last night my opponent was gifted with a hit on every pitch that was thrown in the third inning off of Smolts. So i took him out and had a bullpen game. Ended up winning 11-5!
