Toughest thing to defend I don’t get it. I’d rather have someone freeze me than play against someone who bunts

Press down on the direction pad to bring up your defensive alignment. Adjust it to bunt defense for the batter. That will usually stop everyone from attempting to bunt.

You can also bring your fielders in individually if you feel your second baseman is still too far back. More time consuming, but basically 100% effective.

I had a pitcher get on against me with a sacrifice bunt yesterday. Was pure joy.

I do like when my opponents have 2 or 3 obvious bunt guys though. Give me easy outs most of the time and I know they can’t really hit.

I’d just like to be able to lay down a sacrifice without having to steal second.

This is the most annoying part of bunting. The inability for a basic sac bunt to be successful is absurd.

For people who try to bunt for hits with speed guys...I tend to play IF Half way. Bunt defense leaves the middle infield too far back and it seems like bunting it just between the mound and 1st will still be a hit. Rather have the 2B closer to get to the ball a bit faster. If they manage to drop the bunt 10feet out and have it die there...good on them but that feels so rare.

For the individual shift, do you use the d pad for this as well? Great info thanks.

I do the same 2B and SS halfway. I don’t care if you drop a blooper in for a single. You would have likely gotten a bunt single if I didn’t adjust.

I put the infield in on bunters.. I have no problems other than the perfect drag bunt that there is no defense for.

I can’t bunt for the life of me, whether it’s a sacrifice or bunt for a hit with a speed guy. Sacrifices always turn into double plays. But yet, against me, people always have success (unless they do it too much and I know it’s coming).

You do. It's more cumbersome but it can be done. Bunt defense is almost always effective.

I started Juan Pierre most of last year. Hit around .400 with him and I hardly ever bunted. Loved seeing them bring the infield in for me to bloop one over their heads.
