How Many At Bats Do You Give Your Newly Acquired Player...

...before deciding to bench him or sell him back to the market if he's under performing?
Do you have a set number of tries, or are you more cut throat and base it even on a small sample size?
-
If he doesn’t homer in the first at bat he’s riding the pine
-
- Just in case I messed up the first one.
-
I don’t have a certain number. Just a feel. If I’ve been struggling bad I’ll go check his stats and adjust accordingly. Definitely a good 20-25 games
-
It depends on how long their sideburns are.

I was gonna ask the same thing. Been trying Reggie Jackson out. I usually give it 10 games or so but that’s just me

I thought I told you to shave those sideburns Don mattingly.

I tend to make decisions based on offline play. Online is so random, and hitting results are not consistent.

Lmfao. “You know how you can tell this porno is from the 80s?”
This comment is wildly disturbing my mind .... Now I see hair on everything ! Haha

I give guys 50 at bats. Sometimes I’m surprised with guys I didn’t think I would like
-
I let the guy swing and if it’s a switch hitter he can swing all day...
-
Depends on what I don't like about them. Hitters with leg kicks mess with me something fierce, so they get a lot less slack to produce.
-
I go offline because online has been sort of off recently. I don’t have a specific number I just see how I like his swing or if he’s being productive like I wanted him to be. If your hitting average with a guy but he makes incredible fielding plays I would also advise keeping him till u find like a new card that you like better.
-
Roughly 20-30.
-
Usually I'll give about 10-20 conquest games. Some swings tho you can just tell right away are trash.
-
for me its just feel. like bichette. i thought i would love him but i cant get hits online or offline with him while im a demon with johnny damon. so i had to bench big dante.
-
Do any of you feel that when you get a new card it plays really well but then after a week or so it doesn’t play quite as well? This could be all mental on my end but I really feel like I bat .500 with a card for a few days and then all of a sudden I can’t hit anything with it.

If his swing is good then i give him 50 but if it's bad then one game and done

Yes this seems to happen to me as well. Ill start out over .300 at 100 at bats then it will work its way down to the mid 250's. No idea why it happens but i either suck with a card at first and get better or am really good and they come back to earth
