If you only get one hit in a conquest game, you don't deserve to earn the cards quickly. You sure complain a lot.
How is this complaining? I'm just making an observation.
Ok. So how about this:
What if I DONT need and stats and I'm just playing for PAs/Innings and I decide to bunt with EVERY batter on my team except for one player and that player hits a homerun?
That's still 10 PAs compared to 27 Innings.
If you don't need stats, how is this a scenario that needs explored. Plate Appearances is a baseball stat, and it's the basis of all other stats in the game. Plate appearances is your control. Hits, walks, etc. is your variable.
Anyway, if you need plate appearances and you decide to bunt instead, that would be a poor decision on your part.
Some peoples kids....

Your 'theory' is mathematically fine - but i think a better way to think about it is that now you actually are incentivized to actually PLAY OUT the full conquest game rather then just get 1 run and bunt around. If you keep going with your math that you had its ~4.5 AB's per inning you need to average to be on par with the Innings math. You should be able to do that fairly easily
The reality imo is that the Plate Appearances stat incentivizes you to play the lowest difficulty you can to maximize your PA's where as the Innings Played incentivized you to play at the highest difficulty you were comfortable with. Honestly if you just play out the conquest games now - yes they take a bit longer but you should be able to rack up the PA's fairly easily.

Well if you only manage one hit then yes there's no difference but on rookie any scrub should see the plate twice that much

How is talking Plate Appearances better than talking Innings for TA stats?
Yes, you only need 100 PAs for the points compared to 250 Innings. But let's look at an avg game.
Let's say you play a 3 inning Conquest game and you win 1-0. Now you only got one hit all game. The game winning HR in the 3rd inning. 9 players got an out and one player a HR. So you 10 plate appearances.
Now that means you now have 10/100. Which means if you do that each game it will take you 10 games to get 100 PAs
Now before that would be 27 Innings. 9 players x 3 innings. That would be 27/250.
That would mean you would need 9 games and a part of a 10 game to get 250 Innings.
So one could argue that it's the same, or even longer to get the PAs, as you only need one inning to get those last 7 innings. (27x9=243)
The ONLY way that I see PAs bring better/easier is if you end up playing a handful of games where you totally blowout the cpu and you have multiple PAs with the same player each inning.
No?
Pro: A pinch hitter gets credit for an AB but does not get credit for an inning played unless he also played the defensive 1/2 of the inning.
Con: If you don't hit with your pitchers, possibly pinch hitting for them every at bat they are of course getting you nothing.
Additional Pro. If you haven't finished TA1 you are always getting credit for something, in most cases stats in both TA at the same time. This really adds up in 9 ing. vs. cpu games.
-
Here's one other benefit of the PA vs. Innings ... if you play a conquest game and lose in the bottom of the inning, you still get credited for the PA's from top of the inning, whereas you DON'T get credited for innings if you lose in the bottom of the inning.
The other thing is that they had to change the stat for TA2, otherwise you're getting double-credit for TA1 and TA2. Two different programs = two different stats. I'm going out on a limb and saying TA3 will have a third stat to accumulate for credits.

Very simply put the meta is no longer for people sit there spamming X with a controller in there hands while they watch TV.
The meta is now playing the game, raking up hits will earn it faster than before, sitting there doing nothing will take longer
LONG TIME COMING.

It’s 1 extra game out of 10 if you can’t hit? Not a big deal tbh.
Also how do they count pitchers/PH? That could swing the whole thing back.

I’ve switched playing conquest from AS to veteran for PA reasons and get stats missions faster

Or switch back to innings, leaving TA1 behind? Or having TA1 done in order to have T3 count

Think PAs are bad? Just wait til it’s 100IP instead
