Not sure what all the hype is about. I think I caught on pretty quickly, obviously wasn’t perfect with it, but I think I’m going to stick with meter unless there is a patch in the future that basically makes meter/analog useless.

I thought it was kind of fun to use but I felt like I was just staring at the PPP input the whole time instead of the players. Took some of the “immersion” away.

I’ve used meter since before most of you were born (I’m 29) and have had good success with it. I find it easier to focus more on your pitcher. Meter is all about just timing the release so you can watch the pitcher more closely and if you get a perfect release with meter it’s going to dot just like PPP.

I think SDS improved pitching in general. I’m not hanging random pitches unless I provide bad input with meter unlike previous years where you would frequently get random hanging pitches.

Anyways, just wanted to put my 2 cents in on it.

Haven't used meter this year since there was no need with pinpoint. Used to be a meter guy but I can absolutely locate so much better than years past. Again, haven't tried meter this year so cant compare how it felt to last year.

Its also much more involved which makes it more fun imo. Feels like I'm doing more on the mound and any mistakes are my own doing.

On the downside, it makes some losses hurt that much more because I've got a few where I'm completely outplaying the other guy but losing on some weak hits.

I've mostly switched over from meter to pinpoint with one exception...fast runners on base with opponents that like to run. I still don't feel comfortable with pinpoint and the slide step, so sometimes I pause and switch back.

I know someone else mentioned nerve damage and trying to use pinpoint. I want to make a video just so you can see the humor of what it looks like trying to copy a pattern with random thumb movements.

For those twenty some year old, none of your mom's were in Gainesville in the early 90's right?

28 here. Tried pinpoint the first day I played the game and one other time in practice mode and can’t for the life of me figure it out. I feel like it’s nothing compared to how pitching was in 2k was. Used to enjoy that pitching experience but this is just beyond me. Sticking with meter as well

Oh and also my sticks are pretty beat up from 6 years of use and playing NHL and Warzone so I didn’t even want to try to get involved with stick heavy pitching lol

Are you on Playstation or Xbox? I find it stutters on my Series S a bit, which makes pinpoint a bit more difficult. I use meter when I'm on that. Pinpoint works great on the PS5 though. The path tracing is pretty self explanatory. The only part I didn't get in the tech test which I figured out at release is that you have to time the last movement downwards. I was just pulling it straight down after tracing in one motion. Once you get that timing down, it's pretty easy to get perfect pitching input most of the time.

Enjoy it while you can, you're a young buck still. I tried to use pinpoint and it looked like someone gave Stevie wonder an etch a sketch and said draw a rollercoaster

I watched a video yesterday where a teen said -- a teen talking about the 90s today is equivalent to a 90s kid talking about the 60s.

I...uh...I had to grab some bourbon thereafter.
