Even though hitting on AS is clunky, you’re still able to hit plenty. HOF on the other hand.... hahah it’s pretty nuts with how awkward the timing is and the pci size. You’re pretty much trying to pick up on sequences and hope that the good timing and placement swings provide good results. Guys with splitters and high Velo fastballs are cheat codes. I keep saying this, but I don’t get why the timing window was the first adjustment they turned to. I would have figured upping pitch speeds to 15/16 levels with the previous windows and fixing some of the issues with pitching would have been much simpler and more balanced.
PS: pci sizes are perfect now, it’s just the timing windows they adjusted.

Yes take this patch off! Everything is now late or early. Hitting just seems way off. Even pci control is affected. Fix this now! Just take the patch off!

People like you are the problem. It's obviously broken since week 1 and your telling people they need to get better. Hitting felt easy because everyone was playing on Veteran. I was hitting around .500 in my first 10 games or so. Now that I'm on legend the pci is sooooooo small and pitch speeds are ridiculous. HOF plays harder than Legend did last year. I can't wait for people who are saying hitting is "still fine" to play on at least HOF. I honestly doubt anyone who is good at this game thinks hitting is good. The user input is pointless now and its back to lineouts like 19. Literally feels like the same game now. Good ole bait and switch by SDS like always.
Exactly. I does feel like 19 all over again, especially without much update to the commentary or noticeable "over 200 new animations" ?... All I'm focusing on is how boring it is and every RP dropping his mitt when he comes to the mound. I want my money back.
Yeah the relievers dropping their mitt is driving me nuts... every one of them. Is it because weed is legal across more states now?

Hahah yes, that explains it. It's likely tolerated at a certain studio in San Diego, I imagine.

I’m glad this isn’t just me. Hitting is wayyyyy harder than last year all of a sudden. It’s not even fun half the time. I’ll admit it was a little TOO easy at release, but this is way too far the other direction.

I suck at hitting no matter what, but on 3/13 hitting felt pretty good. I wish we could just get one good patch, leave it at that. If nothing else we could get used to the gameplay.
I'm wondering with the game going to Xbox and Switch next year if this game is going to get as much attention. I maybe will, who knows, but between that and the PS5 coming, I have to imagine recourses are being used elsewhere.

Dude, isn’t that why there are difficulty levels attached to online ratings? Lol WS players are on legend and HOF for a reason. Speaking as a player whose made WS in years past, the hitting now is not good at all after this patch. Instead of being upset and “casual” players for having fun hitting the ball, why not just buff pitching. I wasn’t upset at everyone hitting .500. It’s a video game, let players hit bombs. It’s fun. But playing on All-Star and not being able to even put bat on ball sucks. And pitching was and still is a headache. So not only is hitting messed up now, pitching is still atrocious. SDS needs to revert this patch and focus on pitching control and fielding. Hitting was great for everyone. And part of the marking for this game was fun hitting. At the end of the day, it’s about players having fun. This 1.04 has nearly ruined the game for a lot of players.

Anyone having scoring glitches? LIke i hit a lead off double in the gap with Bo Bichette. No one was on base he was the first hitter in the inning and they scored it as a Fielders Choice.
Was a liner in the gap that went to the wall. Is this a one off? Or is this how it is now? I Left the show for 2k20 last year. But decieded to give 2020 a shot.

this game was awesome hitting wise. now its just not fun. iv been playing for 10 years, been using PCI hitting for 3, this year being my 4th. im not great, im average. but i was really enjoying the game first released. one thing ive noticed that i don't hear anyone talking about is CPU pitching. i play a ton of conquest. EVERY pitcher, regardless of ratings, dots the corners. either way outside, or on the lines. maybe 3 meatballs per game if that. yet when i pitch i serve up meatballs regardless of my input. i simply do not understand why SDS insists on ruining their game with this [censored] year in and year out.

I'm finally gonna cave and agree. I've started seeing far more perfect/perfect lineouts, good/okay center pci results, and lineouts in general. Hitting imo was fine, pitching needs a serious tune-up tho

I don't want realistic.. I want to have fun! Honestly, I don't even watch baseball. To me, it's about as exciting as watching golf. But I like playing it in a video game.
