I hit bomb after bomb after bomb in TA1 and cruised easily through these.

I'm struggling to find any power off the bat even with high power guys.

I've won a few already but I definitely feel like something is off, esp when you factor in the hitters are better in TA2 showdowns

I actually felt that way about TA1 starting Wednesday or Thursday. I mentioned it to a friend I play with and he went in and couldn't even make it past the first boss... Twice. He is a world series player since '17. I had only failed 1 all year for TA and I failed 4 out of 5 in the last few days. Was finishing up my last TA1 and just needed 30 points. I couldn't hit anything out. And I'm talking perfect/perfect with Gallo. No exaggeration either. I struggled

nope i have been absolutely crushing it - first time 8/8 missions, no sweating, 12-12 to start the final boss - cakewalk - the trick is to load up the perks with exit velocity boost, and pick all power hitters regardless of playing position

Felt the same way TA1 was smooth sailing when I started when the last week of TA1 came around I LOST 6 IN A ROW sometimes only needing 1 run and couldn't capitalize. I started noticing though that the game would move my PCI when I never touched my stick sometimes towards the ball sometimes away from the ball but it wouldn't remain centered, thought maybe it was stick drift went into a BP sesh and it never moved always stayed centered leading me to believe they patched in NPC movement to the PCI which would make you miss hit a ball that you actually placed the PCI directly on.

It's pinpoint pitching. Use it and you will have folks wondering if power has been nerfed as well.

Check wind too. The past 2 days every time I do play now the wind is blowing in 7-10mph.

For some stupid reason the wind seems to mess with exit velocity. No, that isn't how wind works, impact and the ball leaving the bat has little to do with wind, once the ball is in the air though, sure.

Just noticing how if the wind is blowing in suddenly I can't hit the ball past the infield and exit velo is living 85mph and below.

Its because you're facing higher rated pitchers.

Perks are only important in this game when the outcome established prior to the showdown decrees you, the player, shall win. Otherwise, those perks are pretty meaningless.

semantics aside - i am telling you that these showdowns are a piece of cake easy no stress - i am only giving those suggestions and tips for those who want to succeed on these showdowns - my advice works and i haven't failed a showdown yet

I won at a 90% clip in TA1 showdowns. They were super easy breezy. Not saying TA2 showdowns have been difficult per say as I have won a lot but big power guys just don't seem to be generating the kind of power that I had been with Niko, Muncy, Santander, Yas, etc, etc, etc. Heck, I even hit for power with lots of silver players in my TA1 runs as well.

i wish you the best pal, i was only trying to throw in my advice that works well for me - i put guys in at whatever position with the only regard for power hitting, and always picking the exit velo perks along the way in the run
