Doing the Team Affinity Johnny Bench Moment. I hit a rocket to deep center, of course it looks like it's going out but hits the wall and bounces back. CF picks it up, meanwhile I'm running around first heading to second..thinking about 3rd....and the base runner on second is still standing there. Was he waiting for an invitation to run to third. I mean the ball had already bounced off the wall and the CF had fielded it and was spinning around and the base runner was still stuck on 2B.

I'm not quite sure what to do so I run back to first. Somehow, I wasn't watching while returning to 1B, the guy that was standing on 2B scores.

Was this just a glitch to prevent an extra-base hit in the slot-machine-moment? I dunno, but it sure was strange.

I understand this game is all smoke and mirrors and strike zone manipulation. Very late, very early, move the PCI where ever the preordained outcome dictates regardless of controller input. I get all that. I can live with it.

But C'mon you programmers can't have silliness like this laying around in the code just to make someone recycle through a moment a half dozen times. It was bad enough that the next game I got hit by a pitch and walked (no one I could reach the last pitch for ball 4). I'm on my 5th attempt. BIG FUN! And excruciatingly exciting.

No offense, but are you someone that can put in a work order to get this fixed?

If you're just asking to be sarcastic I've got nothing to prove to you or anyone else. Again, no offense..but I wouldn't make something like this up.

It's just that I've shared clips out here of animation gone bad and been banned. To be honest I've got so much video and "clips" that it would curl your hair. This isn't even the worst.

From reading some of your posts you probably actually do have a connection and are trying to help on some level. I will be honest once again, this is not a clip I recorded. Like I said, these flukey things happen so much and I pick and choose which ones are worth trying to hang on to.

But, seriously, if you are someone that can, like, pass stuff on to "the staff" so they can be checked out and addressed I would be happy to start passing them on. I think it would really be good for everyone.

I'm all about making this game realistic. It's a selfish self-interest I suppose. I'm addicted to it, but at the same time am repulsed by the fabrication I sometimes see.

Thanks for the positivity. Unfortunately I have no connections, just a firm believer (like you it sounds) that video speaks volumes. Certainly no sarcasm here. I just capture and log that kind of stuff as bug reports and let the devs do what they will with the video evidence. There are obviously some who post stories here that stretch the truth either to suit their story or because that’s just plain how they (incorrectly sometimes) remember it, which does nothing to help the devs fix actual problems. Capturing clips eliminates those problems.

I don’t know if what you described could be classed as an actual bug because I agree with you - the gameplay in Moments is incredibly biased against the player to force grinding. However I’d be submitting that as either a bug report or feedback (same link). As I said, video speaks volumes so any clips you have that expose bugs in the game, log a bug. The more people that log video of the same thing, the more likely it is to be fixed, especially because it helps them identify the cause of the problem.

PS I like the use of the word ‘repulsed’, it sums up how I feel about Moments completely!

    Cheers mate 🙂

Agreed, I don't know if anything in Moments can be construed as a bug. Actually, at times(most of the time) that mode is like one big bug.

That's another reason I didn't worry about grabbing the clip, it was Moments. Not that what shows up in Moments can't materialize in RS or any other mode. I would think it's all built on the same general code set. So what can get wormy in one can surely get wormy in another.

Yes and no on that last point. The DD single player grinding modes (Moments, Showdown, Conquest, and to some extent MTO) are definitely tainted in ways that they aren’t in Franchise, RTTS (hopefully still) and Leagues. What is referred to as sliders around here (the variables that influence event probabilities in the game) would most definitely be different for each game mode (eg in MTO chance of injury is set to 0). In this Moment for example, CPU baserunning aggressiveness would probably be changed from the usual 50% to like 5% 😉
