In an Events game. Bottom of the first.

I better first and knew the connection was going to be HORRIBLE after the first pitch.

How you ask? Because when he pitched the ball it took almost 5 secs to get to my batter.

It looked like it 'bounced' there. Ironically I end up scoring a run; even though my players 'morphed' to the bases.

When I would make contact with the ball if would freeze for a second then it magically appears in the outfield and my batter was already rounding second.

Anyway, I go up 1-0 in the game.

Bottom of the second I throw my first pitch and it starts on the right side of the plate but all of a sudden it jumps to the left.

There would even be a few seconds delay from when it would leave the pitchers hand to when the batter would swing.

After he got a hit, only because the baserunner ran STRAIGHT to second from home plate. I offered a Friendly Quit.

He declined. Then it got weird.

Before it let me unpause it looked like all my menus were open on the pause screen (I had multiple windows showing.

It finally let's me unpause but instead if going back to the game it stayed on the screen where it said he was paused.

I watched his timer go from 3 mins to 0. But when I go to accept the 'timeout' it resets his timer to 1:30. It did this 3 times.

If I don't accept it, I haven't after the third reset, it just sits on the screen asking me if I want to forfeit his game.

Normally I would quit on a 'freeze off'; but I don't consider this one and I'm not doing it AFTER it started doing this after he refused my FQ offer.

So I guess I'm leaving my console on until tomorrow and going to bed.

On a side note, can this be looked into and possibly need fixed so it doesn't happen to anyone else?

Also, to the OP of another thread asking if people's bad internet connection can cause freeze offs: looks like it can.

I'll be honest I read about 20% of this entire thread but you are willing to give up a night of your gaming over an events game? Who cares? The whole point is to race to 40 wins to get the two stupid rewards for the collection later on. You are wasting your own time. Unless you were done for the night anyways. I look at events games like a race. Everytime my opponent long pauses I pray that he is about to quit.

Normally I would quit out. I don't care about the two cards that don't make my lineup. I was just playing Events because I needed 4 more points to get to 100% on the NL Central TA and only need about 20 online innings.

It was the principal of the matter that someone (me) that pays for and had good internet (1GB) gets matched up with someone that is either using an AOL connection it had to steal the wifi signal from the BK across from the trailer park because his mom didn't make enough money at the strip joint.

I offered the FQ when I was winning and he declined. Then it froze. I even messaged him and said I was offering a Friendly Quit because the connection was HORRIBLE.

He ended up quitting. But mysteriously 3 runs showed up for him in the box score.
