Most exciting game ever

First..I'm still new to this so trying to get my feet wet with some of the easier versions of this game. I'm doing my best to get a good enough team together to play RS. So I've started with the Pujols Conquest map.
I was playing Oakland on Veteran mode ( I know but I'm just learning) and had a 2-0 lead going into the 3rd and final inning. I'll be darn if I didn't walk the first batter in the third. And this was a fresh pitcher..my closer Matt Barnes (I know, but I'm new). Just couldn't put the ball in the zone. Then I made a bad error on the next play. Really don't know how, but I'm just learning so that fly ball that landed in the outfield and rolled to the wall was stuff I'll just have to go through and learn from.
Anyway, I got 2 outs with guys on 2nd and 3rd and thought I was going to win, but Laureano hits a homerun off a ball way above his head. He is a great batter in real life and I should have expected it.
Oh well, it was only a 3 inning game and maybe just 15 minutes of excitement but I'm braced for many more things exactly like that one.
Thank you SDS for exceeding my expectations once again.

That’s refreshing to see a player admit critical mistakes. Everyone loses to the CPU every now and again. And it’s ok to not have it all down right now. Glad you’re sticking with it and are motivated by the challenge.

We all have to start somewhere, I mostly play conquest on veteran or all star so your fine anyway already and I hear you about Barnes his control can be a real issue.
For sone reason Oakland seems to be that team this year that stumps me from time to time on getting outs they seem to hit everything, last year it was Houston that did that too me.
I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and it will only get better i promise.
Btw Pujols is a beast this year, he's been my second most consistent bat behind McMahon. I just got Acuna though and he is worth evey stub lol

It happens to the best of us!!! Conquest is a great mode to start out and build your team. Hope you continue to enjoy the game as I have for years!

Just like everyone else said stick with it. But if you are brand new I would just take time b4 worrying about MP it is prolly the worst part of the game for a new person to be honest.

Do the missions, conquest maps, player programs, and Showdown and you will have a competitive team in no time. Take your time and practice. I know it will seem really difficult at first but use zone hitting and either analog or pitch perfect pitching. They can both be very frustrating and especially with zone hitting it will feel like you'll never become proficient with it but it will happen. You won't know when it happened but it will. Find some other players at your level and play friendly games. Great way to practice without destroying your record. Don't worry about other players and how good they think they are and don't get embarrassed by how bad you think you are. We were all beginners at some point. Above all, have fun! I'm over 50 and while the hand eye has diminished, I have fun!
