I started with the default pinpoint pitch. Was a little cumbersome but I got used to it. Realized I was still getting pitches landing far from where I pinpointed and giving up HR's.

So, I switched to metered as some have suggested. It is definitely a quicker experience. Pinpoint just seemed like a lot of extra stuff to focus on with no apparent additional value.

Does anyone else believe pinpoint resorts to the same unexpected results as metered I just don't see any difference in the outcomes. I wanted to believe pinpoint was some sort of high advantage pitcher advantage but "seems" to result in the same meatballs with pitch landing in the middle of the plate on balls intended to be in the dirt.

I'll try anything to get better, but at this point I don't see pinpoint helping me.

Haven't played meter this year so cant compare but every time I miss spots its because my input is average or worse. Both the pattern, speed and release need to be good for the ball to go where you want it. The worse those are the worse the location (and I think its even worse if you have a low control guy too).

The PAR depends on pitcher’s attributes. I believe you can benefit a lot more from pinpoint with pitchers like Maddux with elite break and control.

    Who was your starting pitcher?

I'm a long time meter pitcher. I've always done pretty well with it, but we know pitches hang randomly at times. I committed myself to using pinpoint over the past two weeks and now use it exclusively. There have still been a few instances where I get a perfect pitch which doesn't seem to land in the circle, but it's at least infrequent enough that each time I question if I actually had the pitch in the right spot at the start.

I just had Zack Plesac. He's silver so probably doesn't have good control. So, this will get better when I have better players? I'm on the verge of buying up some packs just to get some diamonds and see if it helps. Thx.

Don’t buy packs to get diamonds lol. Buy the players you want specifically off the market.

I didn't have enuf stubs to do either. So I bought 5k and in my first pack got Aaron Judge. I will have to check out the market too. Thanks!

PPP is even more OP than pulse was on 19 and before; in 20 everything was a crapshoot with all inputs

Only started playing this year (xbox) but I got tired of the randomness of meter when you're not hitting the line perfectly as well. I have been using pinpoint for a week and I've seen hanging pitches but not as often, especially since I'm still struggling with it.

Just started pinpoint yesterday. Weirdly it's made pitching against the CPU a bit tougher as I'm so used to meter I could pretty much put the pitch where I want, but now with pinpoint I'm a bit sloppy and the CPU just takes everything if it's not on the corner. Early returns against human players with a few Events games yesterday were good. I really like it. Definitely going to stick with it.
