Don Mattingly

Mattingly has 3B as a secondary position, but when I move him over there he is like 8 fielding and 7 reaction; almost like he’s out of position. Why is this happening?

All players get a penalty for their secondary position(s) which many don't think should happen, or at least shouldn't be much of an affect at all.
It affects all the fielding attributes. -

report it as a bug. the decrease for secondary is only 5pts. what you are seeing is an out of position penalty,which you shouldnt be.

Same thing shows up for my Mattingly at 3B, but I think it’s just a visual bug. He still has a Diamond shield under him at 3B in game and has made every play over there so far for me.

It's just a visual bug.
A line of data that should be displaying 88 at 3B is showing 8.
His shield is correct and he makes the plays as stated above.

I don't understand why they gave him 3B as a secondary anyway...out of 1714 games, he appeared at 3B for 3 of them. Not to mention that the Don Mattingly card is listed in game as a 1986 All-Star card, but the card displayed is a 1987 card.
So many stupid issues with that Donny Baseball.
