Just quickly skimmed this thread so I might ne wrong, but I'm pretty sure I didn't see the Red Sox mentioned once.
Ted Williams
Pedro Martinez
David Ortiz
Carl YastrzemskiI can’t argue with any of those names, but it’s soooooo tough. Clemens, Rice, Speaker, Boggs, etc all are tough to leave off. Plus if you get into the guys who just didn’t last long enough (Nomar, Manny (seriously his numbers were crazy), Pedroia to name a few recent ones).
Semi related: I love this type of thing, really makes me appreciate baseball... then again I’ve probably sat through the Ken Burns documentary 5-7 times and could happily do so another 10, so maybe it’s just me.
I considered doing an honorable mention but the list got a bit long lol.
Clemens, Boggs, Fisk, Doerr, ManRam, Pedroia, Tek, Betts, Speaker, Rice, Nomar, Pesky, etc.

While they're not my favorite teams, I didn't see anyone else do these teams and if I had a secondary team, it would be one of these two:
San Francisco Giants:
Willie Mays
Buster Posey
Willie McCovey
Barry BondsHonorable Mentions: Juan Marichal, Madison Bumgarner, Christy Matthewson, Mel Ott and Jeff Kent
Tampa Bay Rays:
Evan Longoria
David Price
Ben Zobrist
Carl CrawfordHonorable Mentions: B.J. Upton, Kevin Kiermaier, James Shields and Fred McGriff

Carl YastrzemskiRoger Clemons (even though they didn't win the WS with him and also in his pre-juice, pure talent years!!)
Roger Clemens was my idol. That being said, I think Wade Boggs would belong on a Boston list before Clemens.
April 29th, 1986, a date that will live in infamy. The first ever 20 strikeout game, matched by only 3 pitchers since: 1) Clemens himself in Sept. 1996, Kerry Wood in 1998 and Max Scherzer in 2016!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love Roger Clemens. He was my idol, as I stated before. But a lot of Red Sox fans hate him. That's why I said it. If you ask Boston fans, I'm sure they would put Boggs or even Dwight Evans ahead of the Rocket.
Clearly you don't know Boston fans. We hate Wade Boggs more than Clemens but it's close
When Boggs rode that horse around Yankee Stadium after his 1st WS win - we forgot who he was
Truly, any Red Sox player that went directly to the Yankees we hate
Except for Ellsbury - we saw that you paid $140 million for a 30 year old who used speed as his main tool.

That's interesting. I was going by all the polls and discussions I've seen. The last Boston area poll I saw for greatest Red Sox player had Clemens 16th and Boggs 9th. Good to know though, thanks.
As for the last sentence, I'm a Brewers fan, not Yankees. I just love Babe Ruth, lol.
