How many of these are you getting per game?

This dice roll hitting is frustrating.

Way too many

I’m trying not to complain... but, a lot
-
Had 5 in an event game just now. Not 1 over 90mph. At least the dude I was playing hit a few bombs, so the loss didn’t feel that bad.
-
I hate to say it but this game is starting to feel a lot like ‘18
-
Literally 3 in a row in showdown. This was after the Ray's right fielder jumps 10 feet to his left, 8 feet in the air to rob me of a double. And before that was a perfect/perfect out and 3 good/good outs where I was dead on it I each time. Lmao. I don't want to be complaining about this. In fact, this should never even be a complaint. Yet, this is happening to poor souls all across TSN and everywhere else.
I'll post it later on, but I even got 3 pictures of the same hitter, same timing, same PCI placement, 3 different results. Good/popped good/okay good/squared up.

Good/okay PcI right on it 90mph lazy fly out . Then a solo shot every once in a while on early/ okay makes a lot of sense . I see u MLB the show 18 you almost got by us

@Amishjosh said in How many of these are you getting per game?:
Is your hitter a good low ball hitter? Pitch on edge of zone, was it a positive count? There is a lot that they put into effect into those outcomes. Though I do agree that should be a harder hit ball, does not mean it should be a hit
So yeah, it’s all an algorithm? Usually in video games user input/skill should be the deciding factor.
What your saying is, it doesn’t matter how good you place the PCI, the algorithm (dice roll) will decide what happens. That’s just wrong.

Than what is the point on having a power, normal, and contact swing? I may be mistaken, but I didn’t think the hot/cold zones even mattered in this game, thought it was more for looks. If it does matter I guess I need to change my approach. Right now there is just too much inconsistency with swing feedback than there was pre patch.

pre patch hitting felt so good. I hate getting the good/ok on solid swings. It doesn't have to be a HR, just give me a nice line drive somewhere.
It's mind numbing why the devs would do that.

So glad I didn’t preorder 20.

Yup. A lot.

Now while I agree with this statement, hence why in an early post this year i put i miss arcade baseball, this is a baseball sim. Therefore averages need to happen, and since baseball is a game of failure if your doing everything wrong it will make it seem impossible. So if you want to learn to get better and make the game put out better results try learning the game of baseball. Getting positive counts. Taking pitches on the edges until 2 strikes. Knowing your hitter and where his average is. Just because a zone is bright red doesn't mean his average is .500 or better there. I'm sorry to everyone crying but I've been playing since patch and this game is the most user friendly input online I've seen in a while from hitting standpoint. Offline I can feel a lot of the pain of what people are saying, almost night and day to me hitting online for some reason
