Pause Glitch?

I was playing Ranked yesterday and I was losing 5-1 and did a comeback to 5-4 and with David Ortiz coming up.
My opponent hits pause and lets the timer run out. After it runs out it said that I had forfeited the game.
I asked him what happened and he said that he hit pause to change the infield and then it show I was the one that hit paused and that's why it was my timer that ended.
I never saw his infield move like you can during the pause menu. And in all moments it say opponents is in pause.
I took a nice L cause of the forfeit game

As much as it sucks just gotta take it as a lesson and pay attention and make sure it says opponents pause time. Its not a glitch

As I mentioned above in my message in all moments it said Opponents pause time not mine. That's why I asked. I am a Veteran playing since 2015 and I know how stuff works

When the game was paused, was it on the view of the menus? Or was it on a view of a bullpen?
