Batting sucks now

Listen, idk what happened but I went from hitting 10 runs a game to 1-2. Like holy [censored], I played today for the first time since the patch and what on earth has happened?? This game was so good and now it’s MLB 18.

I don’t know. Maybe they’re working on it. I just threw two pitches that were perfect. One on the inside 2 seam cutting in and another on the outside. Both went about is perfectly middle as possible. Both haven’t landed yet. Strange things are definitely afoot.

I try not to be too critical generally, but I'm having way too much good good contact result in 88 mph exit velocity fly outs to medium deep OF. Pitches that are squared up very well that would have been 100+ exit velocity 2 days ago. At the same time, I had 2 home runs about an hour ago that the pci was completely off the ball...on a slurve from osuna. I'm not sure what happened, I would like them to revert back to 2 days ago. I don't mind if they shrink the pci a bit or speed up the pitches so hitting isn't so easy...but good pci placement and timing should result in good contact.

I’d rather them just revert back to what we had. Just do that. More offense is way more fun than no offense. I’d rather every game be 15-10. Rather than 3-1.

Right. I used to hate the high scoring games until they pooped on hitting the past few years and it was trash. I’d rather play 10-8 games as well. This 2-1 [censored] is awful. It’s “who gets the lucky bombs” which is way worse than too many bombs

I didn't play pre-patch so I can't comment on hitting. What I can say is when hitting works, don't mess with it. You can shrink the PCI's a little, make pitch speeds a little faster, make user input matter on pitches and give the pitchers a little more movement. These are how you adjust to too many runs, HR's.

Hitting is atrocious. I'm getting to the point where I rather play MLB 19 and not play 20. MLB 20 was a lot of fun until the new patch. Why fix the hitting is my question. Hitting was never an issue. Do people think it was too easy? If yes, you have to remember that we started playing on Veteran and All-Star. If SDS would have kept the hitting the way it was then we would still be rewarded. But NOW how am I hitting a Perfect-Perfect flyball 111mph exit velo and it be a warning track shot. But my opponent can hit an Early-Okay 95mph exit velo for a home run. This needs to change. This is ridiculous!!!
