I think I’ll go with the criticism and experiences of Reb and Kyle (both of whom I have watched since the patch) and agree with them that the patch is awful and did nothing more than randomize the results of good contact.

I have had some PCI feedback that looks almost perfectly in the middle without getting perfect, perfect and sometimes without even getting squared up.

Its the hardest hitting has ever been and its because of the timing/pitching. I quit already and im obsessed w the show. So thats how i know it really is terrible. Pitching in 19 I was pretty much lights out, now im giving up 5-6-7 runs a game. Something changed in pitching & hitting both

I can't believe I'm saying this, but it feels like pitch speeds need to be increased. Granted, I've only been grinding the event, but I am early on everything, so are the majority of my opponents. I guess I'm still used to 19, that seemed faster.
I'm doing horrible in the event, only 11 wins vs 20 some losses, just to show my skill level.

When we saw how great hitting was at launch and how much fun the game was to play, I'm sure we all knew they would patch it and ruin it. I was shocked that they only waited a few days though.

Right? And I really don't expect them to change it back. There was a lot of complaining last year and they never reverted back. I doubt it happens this year. You have some people they don't mind it, so SDS can simply say feel as though some like it and some don't (and you're always going to have that).
Honestly, I know people have compared it to last year, but I feel like it was better last year. Yeah, you didn't have this random perfect-perfect that you still get SOMETIMES, but I still felt like overall hitting was even better last year, even with the lineouts. I at least felt I was hitting the ball hard when I had good timing/PCI placement.

Yes it is so broken pci middle of ball and good ok weak pop up... so frustrating

i really enjoyed the game on release pre patch. i thought it was the best most balanced edition of the SHOW since the ps2 days. then the patch happened.

You’re being dramatic. The hitting last year was atrocious. At least this year takes some skill to win.

If you are swinging early at everything then you need to slow down. Last year everyone was swinging ridiculously early at everything and guessing early. It was ridiculous.
This year takes more skill in adjusting. Play the challenge of the week to adjust your timing better. It’s more skill not to guess fastball every pitch.

You’re not playing on HOF in the event. Once you get to DS you won’t be asking this.

Lmaoo yea no...lineout city last year, can't hit offspeed in 18, be late to be great in 17 all sucked

I've had no problem pitching and or hitting, I think input genuinely matters in this show. To anyone who said hitting got harder I dont see how? I still get as many perfect/perfects and hit more homeruns and base hits now then before pre patch. I think a bunch of people on here watch streamers who cry about any change anytime before even getting use to it and hopped on the band wagon and have no clue or thought for themselves. Make up your own mind and dont quote some great idiotic streamer. Half the people at the top could wipe their [censored] with that guy.... hitting is great, my games are high scoring. When I face a decent opponent oh boy is it fun winning 8-7 again not 1-0 and a line out fest
