It is really unfortunate, but I mean that can't be fun for them. If they wanna spend their time doing that more power to them. So what if they get a boss before anyone else honestly imo. Also, I may be in the minority, but I don't think Iv'e ever gotten screwed out of XP (besides servers going down mid game) that I have noticed.

Of course it's fun for them. It's called winning the game, and that's why they're cheating to do it. If the game allows the cheat then of course some people are going to take advantage, and the fun for them is in the winning, not in the playing. Human psychology. 'The Inner Game of Tennis' is a good read to see how psychologies play into competition. Some people want to look good playing, some people love to play, and others play to win (no matter how it looks).

I took billiard lessons from Dawn Hopkins. My first assignment was to read, The inner game of tennis.

Excellent book. Quite a few people on these boards would benefit from it's perspective.

I love how that book has crossed over from tennis. I saw a photo of a current NBA (or maybe college basketball) player reading it, and some big NFL stars have sworn by it too. Given the mess that's professional tennis right now, I doubt very many current tennis players have read it. Agree it should be required reading here too.

It has quite a few points to make. Hard to provide a quick synopsis. I'll reference one of the main reasons why I was told to read it.

I've been playing pool for 35+ years. Some days, I'm unbeatable. Some days, I beat myself. I don't play competitive in a cut throat perspective. She asked me what I was hoping to get from the lessons, because shooting pool itself is not an issue.

My response was that I wanted to learn how to turn on and off at will.

The tennis book has a section that talks about giving lessons to people that want to learn how to hit amazing backhands. They just don't have the skills. But as an instructor, he could create the illusion of success by programming clients with muscle memory and putting the balls into position where they really can't fail. Gives the client a sense of success.

Doesn't make sense here for boards persay, but I got the wake up. Many sections of the book cover many aspects of competitive behavior.

If someone linked their account without knowledge of the glitch then it is not their fault. There is really no way of knowing if there was intent. They should just patch it and move on.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I just don't care if someone wants to waste a whole day of their time doing that, go right ahead. Most people have better things to do. It's not like they're getting something the rest of us can't get.. they are just getting it more quickly. If that's the kind of thing that ruins your day, then I guess that's a bummer for ya.

No it doesn't ruin my day. I just wanted you to understand that they are having fun, when you were suggesting they were not having fun by missing out on the gameplay. Fun for them is in the winning, pure and simple. If they wanted to have fun working through the gameplay, they wouldn't cheat.

Well if that's fun for them, I feel sorry for them. They must lead sad lives. Unfortunately, stuff like this happens in literally every video game. People will find a way to exploit stuff, it is what it is. If they somehow "patched" it, people would find another way.

All valid points. I may just take a short break from the game and focus on something else. I'll just leave with this comment,:

While people are doing this on purpose/nit on purpose; these will be the same people complaining later on in the program when SDS releases not ways to get XP and that XP is worthless to them.

see ya tomorrow when you're back posting the same things. This game is crack, no one just stops playing it if you like baseball. The show is simply one of the best games every year.

I played for four+ hours tonight and earned a grand total of 22K in XP!

It would've been higher, but at least 60-75% of what the after game screen stated that I earned mysteriously disappeared. Along with 4-5 games worth if stats.

But yet we got 100s, if not 1000s, of people either farming XP by sitting in an Exhibition mode for DAYS. and not exiting until the new Inning drops.

Or we have people abusing a glitch where you can heard 10s of thousands worth of XP per game just buy linking your consoles to the game.

It's all over YouTube and there's even people on this board stating that they did it.

Yet SDS probably won't do anything about it, or if they do, it will be to late.

There were people selling the 2nd Inning bosses an hour AFTER the program dropped. And someone in here said that they made it to 650K just by playing a few ranked games.

Which all are probably against SDS's TOS.

Yet, I'm sitting here busting my @$$ for 20K in XP.

It ridiculous and I dont even know if I want to bother playing anymore.

Don't get me started in the time limits for the Inning Programs either. By the time I go back to work next month, and am putting in 70-80 hours of work; I'll be lucky if I have 4-5 hours a week that I can play. So I doubt I'll get even close to 350K in the upcoming Inning Programs. That is unless I go out and buy an XBox and boost like everyone else!

I know I complain alot; but this is something that needs to be rectified. And not with a 'Thank You' bundle.

This game has potential; but unless SDS can get their collective heads out if their ...... and start patching stuff/banning people who blatantly chest, this franchise is going to end up being a pile of excrement.

Maybe I can get someone to 'take over my account and just walk away from this $hi1$h0w.

I’ve resigned myself to just accept it for what it is and if people feel like they accomplished something and don’t really care how it affects the greater gaming community, great for them. I am a firm believer in Karma. The sad part is, SDS’s fix will be to limit amount of XP earned daily/hourly or per game, which then just screws everyone over. Or, they’ll make the rewards path even harder, again, making it tougher on everyone. Unfortunately, not many options within our control. Either accept it, ignore it, or move on to a game that provides better enjoyment. New DLC for Valhalla will be out soon, supposedly new GoW will be out by the end of the year, and of course dozens of other titles dropping soon as well. Only way companies take this serious is when profits start to falter. Don’t see that happening soon, so I’ll just accept it and control what I can control.

I feel for people that are not getting full XP reward, I am one of them.

However... Your bolded part there good lord man... How does anyone else earning XP remotely have any impact on you or "the greater gaming community" whatever the heck you imagine that to be. You need to be less concerned with other people and more focused on your own business. You aren't part of any great community, you are sitting in your house playing a video game 😂 ... Don't make it out to be anything more than that.

You can’t be serious, do you really think when a group of players exploit something in the game, that it doesn’t effect anyone else who hasn’t? I’m talking about the farming exploit, the linked systems is more of a glitch than an exploit. As I said originally, when SDS decides to come up with a “fix” it will most likely be to limit daily/hourly or XP per game. How does that not effect everyone?

If you have to glitch XP in a game, you're a scrub plain and simple. I had someone on Facebook tell me im wasting my time doing MTO stuff when i can get through the Inning Program by setting up a 2 player game and pitching to myself for an hour...and i just told him that i bought the game to play it..to level up and earn rewards on my own. Who really wants to sit there pitching to yourself all night?

That said, i dont care if someone is glitching xp because it wont make them any better and its not gonna make me dislike the game.
