You misunderstand me, I'm only disputing the EVER remark here. It is not the worst EVER. People being unhappy with it doesn't = worst EVER.

Ok. IMPO, the worst ever, although I have only been playin DD since 2017. The timing windows are broken, good PCI placement not being rewarded, good/ok results on perfectly centered PCI 10 times a game, etc....

I thought it sucked at first. Then I adjusted to it. I’m getting consistently good games with hits and all different types. Not just HRs.
People will complain no matter what until this game gets completely broken.
I think they have two options. Either keep it the way it is now, or roll it back to the start. If they keep tweaking it they will break the game.
I’m an average hitter, if I’m hitting well and getting good results, you can too with the way it is now.
I also think pitching complaints are overblown. I’ve been pitching decent too.

At the very least, the timing window is some of the worst ever, IMPO.... Also, many people have called 19 the worst ever and see how many comments you can find on the forum, comparing this game to 19, including the most recent post...

Pci size is fine, the timing window isn’t. It’s ridiculously inconsistent. Plus there’s still a good amount of good/okay on centered up pci swings. I wouldn’t have a big issue with this if the timing window wasn’t awful.
Should’ve just increased pitch speeds instead of cucking the timing window.

It’s good to make an adjustment. That’s what you do in baseball.
That said, the tweaking of the game you describe has already started.
Just because I struck out 14 batters in a ranked game doesn’t mean the pitching is fine. I’ve observed that “good” releases fairly consistently go higher than their intended location. “Just early” or “just late” seem to give better results.
In other words, just because you are good enough to make the adjustment, doesn’t mean the problem is not there.

Offense has been reduced. It's mjch better than it was. Just because 20 homeruns aren't hit per game doesn't mean hitting is bad. Pitching still needs a tune up

I played my first RS game last night and, on Veteran struck a guy out 15 times lol. I didnt do much better. Only scored 3 runs on like 10 hits. Won 3-0. I expected a lot more runs. Last year in my first 15-20 games was getting all kinds of mercy rule games and tearing the cover off the ball. Ill chalk it up to all the cpu games i been grinding having me way off. But I was having a hard time hitting Snell. I cannot imagine playing on HoF right now. But it will probably be better.
As a side note the Good/OK PCI reading being almost identical to the Perfect ones are confusing. -

I think I’ll go with the criticism and experiences of Reb and Kyle (both of whom I have watched since the patch) and agree with them that the patch is awful and did nothing more than randomize the results of good contact.

I have had some PCI feedback that looks almost perfectly in the middle without getting perfect, perfect and sometimes without even getting squared up.

Its the hardest hitting has ever been and its because of the timing/pitching. I quit already and im obsessed w the show. So thats how i know it really is terrible. Pitching in 19 I was pretty much lights out, now im giving up 5-6-7 runs a game. Something changed in pitching & hitting both

I can't believe I'm saying this, but it feels like pitch speeds need to be increased. Granted, I've only been grinding the event, but I am early on everything, so are the majority of my opponents. I guess I'm still used to 19, that seemed faster.
I'm doing horrible in the event, only 11 wins vs 20 some losses, just to show my skill level.

When we saw how great hitting was at launch and how much fun the game was to play, I'm sure we all knew they would patch it and ruin it. I was shocked that they only waited a few days though.

Right? And I really don't expect them to change it back. There was a lot of complaining last year and they never reverted back. I doubt it happens this year. You have some people they don't mind it, so SDS can simply say feel as though some like it and some don't (and you're always going to have that).
Honestly, I know people have compared it to last year, but I feel like it was better last year. Yeah, you didn't have this random perfect-perfect that you still get SOMETIMES, but I still felt like overall hitting was even better last year, even with the lineouts. I at least felt I was hitting the ball hard when I had good timing/PCI placement.
