hitting frustration, please help

i just started playing mlb 1.5 weeks ago on xbox one x and yes i have a fast monitor(im a veteran cod player). i managed to get all of my players at 84 gold with collecting stubs and one 85 player. my pitchers are decent. my ranked record is 6-12. it seems like every time i go into a ranked game they are putting me against players with a line up that are all diamond players or players that are ranked above me. wtf? why?
also, i have cross play off and trying to play other rookie players who are new to game. they seem to hit the ball as i lose games 5 to 0 or 9-1 and lost one of them 2-1. i cannot hit. im swinging thru pitches right in the wheel house using pci and the bats are not even touching the ball. in practice i seem to hit ball ok..it almost feels like im swinging thru balls that i should be hitting. last night i became frustrated and had thoughts of trashing game because the hitting technique is to be honest dumb. they should at least have guess pitch turned on. any advice

MLB The Show has quite a learning curve, unlike let's say COD for example. It takes time and practice to get better at hitting in this game, especially online against others players where the pitch speeds are a bit faster than in offline gameplay. Only way to get better is to keep playing and it will pay off, I can guarantee you that.

If your not good with pci, switch to directional hitting. You don’t need to move the left stick at all, just swing. The only way to get better is play. Try switching camera views as well

Terrible advice, don't switch from zone hitting to directional hitting and if you're using directional hitting I urge you to switch to zone hitting asap. Yes, zone hitting is harder to learn and to master, but it pays off in a BIG way down the line. Every day you play this game not using zone hitting is a wasted day in becoming a better player.

He just wants to hit a little bit. It doesn’t sound like he has aspirations to be the best ever. If he’s brand new, directional might be easier for him to just have fun. You gotta know the crowd your talking to.

i use fish eye and strike zone. just cant get use to it. ive played 18 games and my hitting execution hasnt improved. im a decent on pitch counts but een my pitching seems to go down hill when im frustrated from lack of hitting. one inning my pitches out of the zone get chased and they cant hit me and other inning they get jacked for a bomb and they go on a string of hits and runs, its weird....then for 5 more innings they cant touch me with the same pitches. does this game have hacks or something?

Yes, you can find hacks here but be careful using them, you will risk a permanent ban.

i dont wanna use them. i feel like they are being used against me

You need to play more. This isn’t a shooter where you pick it up and your great at it. You should have a better team than that by now. They gave away a ton of diamond cards already

Alot of good advice here! Try them all if in a slump and see what works for you. But only "You" know what aspect you are struggling with. If it's swinging at sliders away? Go to custom practice choose a pitcher that throws slurve slider and or cutter choose all 3 for outside zone. Then make yourself only look for that one pitch and work on hitting that pitch only until you recognize it.
As far as match ups go don't worry about what cards other player has their is no guarantee that they are good with them. Also when searching for opponent move L analog stick all the way to left to match up against someone closer to your rating.
