the perfect line of commentary to describe patch 1.04. SDS had so much going for them until they decided in there infinite wisdom to pull a complete 180 and nerf the one thing that everyone has been raving about to essentially make MLB 20 MLB 19

Now I know that SDS will never completely revert the patch because there has only been one time in my lifetime that a company has done that and it was after 4 months of people bitching and complainning about essentially the samething. 1 patch early in the games cycle that basically ruined the game for everyone.

So here are the things that I think we can all agree on needed to be done before patch 1.04

    Hitting patch 1.04
PCI needed to be smaller which was done in patch 1.04. Personally I think that the current size of the PCI is fine and shouldnt be touched

Timing window, whatever SDS did to the timming window change it back because it's just completely messed up right now and honestly the "old" timing window was fine and didnt need to be touched

Pitch speed. this was also changed in patch 1.04 and the current state of pitch speed separation is fine. I wouldnt touch this usless its part of the reason for the messed up timing windows

Things that werent addressed in patch 1.04 that I believe will making pitching more viable.

Increase FB speeds across AS and higher difficulties. Yes this will cause some of the casuals to stop playing but, they were going to stop playing anyways so nothing gained nothing lost. If you can't hit a FB then you shouldnt be playing DD plain and simple.

Pitch Consistence now this can be put under control but I think what people are really talking about are how inconsistent pitches are with good/good. I know that a pitches individual control factors into where a pitch ends up but a good pitch is a good pitch so if you are hitting your spots with a certain pitch then control shouldnt matter because even the most wild pitchers in the MLB are able to paint the corners with all there pitches. Control should purely be based on how much you miss by when you miss.

PCI is a little small. I think they shrunk it too much.

I’m off to a 19-5 start too. So I’m not just saying it because I’m losing.

Very few pitchers can paint the corners with their fastball, let alone all their pitches. Stop with the everyone agrees posts. And yes, a business wants a few hardcore to play : let’s shrink our revenue stream. So much nonsense

Man come off it. Do you not recognize the reaction the patch has caused? Yeah us knobs on these forums only represent a small fraction of the player base but that doesn’t mean the other 97% of people playing this game, post patch, are grinning like idiots. They’re probably feeling duped like the rest of us.

Come off it? Really? Because all you had to do was swing with your eyes closed to get a dinger was fun? A comment like that from you is a bit disingenuous, to put it mildly. Stop talking in absolutes. You don’t speak for me, or for that matter, probably half of the player base. And you wonder why devs don’t engage in this zoo.

Could they fix some things? Sure, but nothing is “broken” or atrocious or the crapshow you like to pretend. Speak in “I”, not “we”. I mean if people can’t get through Showdown on Rookie or Veteran, then all hope is lost. I’m no pro and even I found (see what I did there?) found it laughably easy to hit.

Apologies man. I don't mean to attack you or argue with you. I'm actually more upset with pitching at this point. I'll adjust to the hitting. My enjoyment of the game changed with this patch and that's unfortunate. I've observed that I'm not the only one who feels this way. Peace brother.
