Try strike zone offset. I’ll flip between strike zone and offset when I feel I’m struggling reading pitches. I’m sure it’s just a mental thing, but that slight change gets me focused again.
Also, try turning off pci for a bit and just focus on the pitch. You’d be surprised at how naturally your thumbs move with the pitch when the pci isn’t in the way.
I haven't tried this in years (turn off pci)...good idea
I actually played like this for a long time.

Also, try focusing on pitchers hat during release. When I’m struggling I realize I’m drifting my eyes down and looking at belt and then I’m late because I’ve missed a third of the ball path.

I have played this game for a long time & never tried this...I need to do this for proxy. I started off RS very strong (outside of SDS screwing up my record) and have lost 4 of 5. Trying to get back on track. Hitting is killing me...

Hope it helps, not everyone has the same approach, just offered some things I do when I’m strgguling (aside from the obligatory slump buster method that my wife would not be happy about).

I started 17-1 & I believe that I may be running into people that simply are better than me at the game. These tips will help with my frustration, though.

Never heard of this and it gave me a good laugh. Thanks

The good ole slump buster.
When I have issues I play against the cpu on legend. After that balls look like slow motion in ranked.
-
Strike zone is the only reason so many people can catch up to unrealistic put he’s to hit. It shouldn’t be available on RS BR or events. I use zoom since it’s the best view to appreciate the games graphics. Even though it’s harder, why wouldn’t I want a challenge to appreciate my success more. Idk maybe I’m old school but the harder it is to accomplish the more I appreciate the outcome.

Strike zone 2
-
fish eye2, I use to be strike zone only but for some reason this year I can not hit that way - maybe because I am 45 but I still hit pretty well with fish eye and find its very easy to determine balls and strikes. I hit around 400 in online play.
-
Fish eye, fish eye 2, catcher high, wide. Those strike zone cameras shouldn’t even be allowed.

That's a good idea. Im trying zone out for the first time and I'm always swinging at junk because I'm to worried about the pci. When I use analog I hardly ever swing outside the zone. Im gonna give this a try

Simple, it’s takes up the entire screen which makes it easier not to get fooled by pitches. Why do you think people use it? It’s not because it looks good, it’s because it gives them an edge.

How do you catch up to fastballs?

The farther back view in my opinion gives you more time to track where the pitch is going. I’m really struggling this year to decide on a camera. One day one feels good and then the next day it doesn’t.

Retro pic off
Zone+ analog stride -
PCI off is great advice. I never really like any of the SZ views. I always feel like I cant judge low pitches as well. Strikezone 3 isnt bad. This probably wont be a hot take but fish eye 2 is a pretty good view. It's height is positioned perfectly so it's easy to tell if a pitch is going high/low/inside/outside. It's also pretty easy to pick up the ball out of the pitchers hand
