It's time to speak up

It has been 18 days from early access on a game that was released 2 weeks later than usual. Where is the communication from SDS? The mere fact that you are ALL remaining silent on these issues is embarrassing for you as a company and for MLB, Sony and now Microsoft which you represent. I'm not counting your daily "server maintenance" messages for 4 a.m as any sort of communication
The fact is you have released a broken product and the lack of communication is further frustrating your loyal fanbase and whatever hope you had at a new fan base from cross-gen players.
Literally anything you try to do at this point would be moot. Nobody trusts anything you say any more since you released patches that " deployed a server side update which has decreased the amount of unhandled server exceptions happening and improved overall server stability." and yet here we are a week later and it is still happening. Albeit a little better.
Just own it at this point and say sorry guys, we messed up. We are truly sorry for the experience so far and make it right. That's all a lot of us want is just something.... anything
-
Yeah. It's tough playing on a daily. Reminds me of dial up. Pretty trash.
-
at least they got around to fixing the location of the all star game in patch 4. Important stuff
-
While there are definitely other things to fix at this point I haven't been experiencing any untangled server exceptions while playing so they've definitely been improving things at the very least.

Funny, I never had this error until last night. Unhandled Server Exception reared its ugly head, and I only play offline Franchise.

Liar.

Don't believe me if you want to but there is literally 0 benefit for me to lie. In the last few days when I've been playing I haven't experienced any server disconnects. The most annoying thing for me at this point is the ballplayer program still having issues tracking. Try getting a wifi booster or a mesh network adapter to help your internet and you will probably stop seeing servers drop too. -

The entire player base has bad internet except you, right?

Ok be a salty child, I didn't say the game is perfect or that noone is experiencing issues. I said I specifically haven't had server issues so to me it seems things are improving. -
Also the mesh wifi system suggestion was an honest suggestion because last year I would constantly have the game drop out during play and once I bought one and set it up it instantly helped my connection. If you know there is an issue but don't want to do anything to try and help yourself except whine for someone else to fix it then good luck but it's not gonna go how you think.

The games aren’t being dropped because of local WiFi issues. I get dropped every night and I have impeccable WiFi in my house. The only games I have issues with are the ones with crappy overall servers, like MLB, 2K, and Outriders. If you haven’t had issues it’s just because you’ve been lucky the times you’ve chosen to be on. It’s not because of equipment you have.

I'm not saying all but a handful of the drop outs are probably the wifi. Last year like I said I would drop games all the time and as soon as I got the mesh system I stopped dropping games. It is definitely because of how sensitive the MLB servers are because it's the only game I had issues with but it still helped. The issue was last year which I'm sure bleeds into this year was the servers were so sensitive that if your wifi lagged or dropped out even for a microsecond it would disconnect you.
-
This happens every year.

You are being shortsighted. It has nothing to do with local issues. The game runs poorly because of server-side issues. This happens to a certain extent every year, but has been compounded by the MLB forcing SDS at the last minute to open the game to XBox and game pass. There are bottlenecks being created by the required online communications in every mode of the game and menus.
-
I also have a wired connection and get dropped every single night. It ain’t WiFi.

Speaking of shortsighted from your response it sounds like you didn't read my entire comments. I'm not gonna keep repeating myself so feel free to go back and read it again or not.

Me too. Guess I need to fly to the SDS servers and plug in directly,

I guess if you consider 2019 last minute then you would be right. Just because we found out last year.. Again, not last minute, doesn't mean they didn't know. I agree with the rest of what you're saying though

Sunday, gameplay was fine for me from about 11am to 5pm, the past two days I was able to get a moment or two in between 5-6pm then they were down until about 11pm when I gave up and went to bed.
-
It’s been good in afternoons, but it’s hit or miss (mostly miss) between 8pm and 11pm EST. Unfortunately that’s when most working people have time to play games. Every night for 2 weeks, I’ve had games not count after wasting 30-45 minutes a pop. Last night I just gave up at 9pm after having another game not count. I wish there was a way that player stats updated as they occur and didn’t have to wait until the end of game. You don’t know you’re disconnected from servers until after the game.
