This is an example but it is consistent over all the “repeatable” tasks I have encountered. I am working on the cheesy painter program and all I have left are the repeatable tasks e.g. get 10k throw 8 innings. The issue is tracking over game to game. Say you throw six innings and are pulled. That next game you start after you complete 2 innings pitched the remainder of the innings do not track. It’s more noticeable in the other program I am in “sparkplug” where the plate appearances task has the same tracking issue.

If you have say 8 IP of 10 needed you pitch 7 in a game you will only get credit for 2 as the task will give you the points for your program and then reset to 0 instead of giving you the points then showing 5/10 IP for next game. It’s a stupid system that makes it take longer to progress the the programs. Same thing with every repeatable task. Also when you complete a repeatable task it won’t show up in the progress screen at the end of the game, though you still get the points for it so not as bad a bug as some in the game.

If this is intentional in its design as opposed to a bug, and this certainly feels a bit buggy considering everything else that has plagued RTTS so far, then it should be changed. This artificially inflates the length of time required to complete tasks and is deflating to witness, especially when you're left trying to complete only the repeatable missions in hopes of completing a program.

Being able to see program mission progress between games would be nice, instead of having to return to the clubhouse to get that update, as would being able to see when you've successfully completed a repeatable mission. I get that it's not likely a top priority right now, but the inconsistency in the mode simply feels bad. When I'm more likely to level programs for my created player's RTTS career at a consistent pace by playing Diamond Dynasty, you know there's a problem.

You mean see the points toward program after every game? You can see the tasks progress but the program yes you have to go all the way into My Ballplayer. I think that was on their blog to improve at least.

I just pitched. Before the game my strikeout task was at 5/10 and I had 6Ks in the game. My task should be 1/10 but it’s 0/10. Before the game my innings pitched was 6/8. I threw 4 innings so it should be 2/8 but in fact it’s 0/8. The progression is either intentionally slowed or still bugged.

I'm specifically wanting to see individual mission progress between games in a series. I imagine it's something they'll implement at some point. As far as I can see, there's no way to check program mission progress on the post-game screen (where "Play Next Game", "Replay Vault", "Stats", and "Return to Clubhouse" buttons are), nor access the "My Ballplayer" menu.

Also, if there's not going to be a way to view mission progress in the middle of a series, then a full wrap-up at the end of a series would be nice. Currently, it only displays progress for the game played prior to returning to the clubhouse. If I play a 3-game series, the Progress menu will only show mission progress earned in the last game in the series, which is frustrating.

Agreed to all. The fact that for repeatable progression it "drops the remainder" instead of "carrying the remainder" is very frustrating. And the lack of a detailed progress screen is equally aggravating. SDS should either give the player the opportunity to see archetype progress before choosing "play next game" or the end-of-series summary should show progress made for the entire series.

Hopefully they can get this fixed. But frankly imo this issue is less important than player equipment in RTTS mostly not working and some of the bugs still plaguing pitching RTTS.

Speaking of pitching bugs, have you ever been able to "perfectly" throw a Splitter in Pinpoint Pitching? Haha, it's such a mess. 😞

@maxag0n_XBL - man, I am so the suck at pinpoint. I like what I've seen of it online and those Youtube gamers seem to make it look pretty slick as heck. But then I do it - and not the same results...

Give it some practice, @Moosealbany_PSN ! It's genuinely worth it, in my opinion. If you get the knack of it, a lot of the randomness for location falls away. Naturally, though, you'll still have a few wild ones here and there, but it's a pretty nice addition.
