Anyone else find the computer super aggressive with attacks and their reinforcements this year?
-
No, not for me.. however the computer wins much more sims than usual.. I've lost all 10 vs 1 the other day.. painful to watch lol
-
Yes, also more aggressive on the field.
-
I’m with ya on the computer winning many more sims. Super frustrating to watch the pc with a 7 or an 8 take 7 or 8 squares. Meanwhile I can’t get 5 squares with a 15-20. Wish there was a better way than just simming forever. Such a waste of time

They are attacking my strongholds on every [censored] turn. Honestly hating this USA map. Take over a stronghold, boom lose one on the other end of the board.

I just posted on this, it's maddening how often scrub defenders rob hits. And AI pitchers dot consistently and at will.

I’ve done them all except the central and western affinity...other than losing a buncha sims. It was normal..I started central, and they were attacking me and my strongholds, reinforcing everything that I couldn’t easily gain. Spent almost 3 hours taking the left side of the map, which is 4 strongholds

on the USA map, create a "wall" on the east side of your stronghold, and take the western side of the map first.
With your wall, you need to have as many reinforcements as they CPU has. If you have 8 and the have 8, they won't attack. This will solve your problem.

That's my approach every of the time

If you're extremely aggressive and have no problem beating the CPU on all-star or even HOF, just attack strongholds that are encroaching and you shouldn't ever have to defend.. I never have more than 1 on every hexagon except for my attack. Sometimes I'll divide to a spot that needs to crush a higher number hexagon getting close, but usually I'll wipe out an opponent before there's a chance..
Once the opponent's stronghold is gone they usually don't attack anymore and play dead
-
I did this one different than I normally would. Day one, I wanted the Jonathan India card, so I did those strongholds first. Just now going through the map for the first time. Honestly, just pretty bored with conquest. It's been the same thing for years.
-
Im doing blitz runs- where you're ignoring territories and just head stronghold to stronghold. i leave 3 fans at every one never bothered by the cpu,if you see them build up just add to it, they wont attack unless they have at least 2 more than you, at a stronghold that is.

Not anymore than previous years. I still finished the US conquest map in 28 turns which is about average for my quickest runs.
This is also a complaint that I have read on this forum every year for the last several years.
-
I know this isn’t a popular opinion, but I do sort of miss the Conquest Extreme scenarios from the past. At least you had to come up with some strategies in trying to get to certain strongholds within a certain amount of turns. Helped stave off some of the boredom with conquest.

Don't leave your strongholds in a position to get attacked.
-
I always make sure that when I attack a stronghold that I can encircle it with captured territories. Leaving openings is just asking to get attacked. I usually try to have a two hex buffer where I can.
-
If any team is within one square of one of your strongholds with more than 2 or three fans then reinforce there next turn and drive them back.
I never leave more than 1 fan in any stronghold and just the other day I finished the US map in 28 turns without ever having any stronghold of mine attacked.
-
-
I leave 5 fans in each stronghold, maybe I'm lucky but they never get attacked.
