TA Showdown Question
-
I went lefty heavy in my initial draft and ended up pulling Luzardo as the final boss.
Right now the main players that I took were 42 Graham, 42 Muncy, and BO Shawn Green.
If I have the opportunity, should I wasn't a pick in a right-handed batter to replace their positions?
Or do you think they be fine?
-
I try to draft a balance of lefties and righties in case things like that happen.

After the first draft, it shows you the team you’ll be facing for the final showdown. The only two that are lefties you’ll face in the final (as far as I’ve seen) are Luzardo and Kershaw for the Dodgers. Once you see the team, you can then draft the rest of the way accordingly.
The only issue with lefty heavy vs a Left pitcher, while most of the players you draft are power heavy, they’re also low vision. If you’re fine with facing lefties with a lefty, you’ll do well. As always, take your time and see lots of pitches.

I mean they all have decent stats for either handed pitching.
I just seem to want to push myself to swing at garbage with left handed batters vs the same handiness pitcher.

In the bottom left of the corner it tells you what team you are playing against for final boss right of the bat. I usually just look at who the team is and draft based on that given information.
For example if in the bottom left of the screen it shows the twins then I know that I'm facing jose for final boss so I draft all lefties etc.

You will face the pitchers in the TA packs, the only left handed pitchers are Oakland’s Luzardo and Washington’s Patrick Corbin.

I know it shows prior to the draft; but it is shaded out until you draft.
I gave vision issues and can't completely make out the silloutte of the team.

In this scenario I'm just taking the best bats against lefties in your remaining picks throughout the showdown. Position doesn't matter for when you play the final boss. You're not going to replace the best bats you drafted originally, just replacing the other players with players that hit lefties well

I've swapped out numerous High Power/High Contact Diamond Lefties in a Lefty/Lefty Situation for a lesser RH/LH Matchup. Solely because I have troubles with some Lefty/Lefty matchups. Depending on the guys swing, the pitchers velo, etc. I have a hard time with my timing and picking up the low and away slider that is eventually coming. I'll plan for it and then won't be able to catch up to the inside fast ball. Sometimes you gotta just sacrifice that one guy for a better matchup for you. Especially if there is a runner on and you're worried about getting doubled up. Everybody can be a hero in showdown. Whatever helps you keep the ball in play is what matters.
