You had 8 AB's to get him home, and you didn't. When it was his turn to hit again, he came up to bat. There aren't ghost runners in MLB the show....
So I no longer get to have the credit for having him on base? Whether or not I should’ve got him home doesn’t matter logically. The game shouldn’t be able to remove a player on base for no reason.
Who's going to hit for him? Bunt, steal, hit balls to the OF, hit a single. You have a minimum of 24 pitches to move him. It's on Rookie and Veteran. Like...what do you want, SDS to just give everything out for free? It doesn't get easier than this.....
I’m not saying give it for free. I’m saying don’t cheat but taking away a hit that I earned

Happened to me once, never did last year. It shouldn’t happen regardless if the dude didn’t bring him home “fast” enough. As for the clown talking about the professor, no. This is more like the professor knocked you down a grade point at the end of the year by giving you a zero in a test you got an 95 on earlier In the year , bc you “took to long to take the final exam”
-
The rules are the rules and I don't figure they'll change. If the professor says you get a zero if you don't finish on time, then you better finish on time. I'm not sure I love it but that's what it is.

Well there was no rule in this case, as last year they replaced the runner.
Isn’t one the things that everyone says for showdown is patience especially early which means you will take some outs working counts and not swinging till two strikes. Doesn’t this kind of negate the purpose of that?
-
I didn't play DD last season so I am new to Showdown, so point taken and yeah they probably should have notified the player base if this is in fact a rule change and not a bug.
As far as negating the purpose of being patient and working counts: I would still expect to be able to get a runner around in 8 ABs far more times than not.

Yeah, but I kind of suck and honestly when you think about it you could have a .333 average over 9 batters and possibly not get the guy in.

Fixed a bug that would cause a runner to disappear when they were also called to the on-deck circle in Showdown...

I would have no problem with disappearing runners if it would be official baseball rule.
Like if you are at third base and it's your turn to hit, you have to get off from scoring position, but I don't think there is any rule like that. It's just a glitch, so please stop defending that bsIt’s only possible within showdown that’s why it happens. It’s impossible to be on third and also be on deck in an actual game. No rule needed....
-
And now it will be fixed via patch notes, so you are defending a bug
