I'm new to the game, first time having it (since I'm an Xbox owner). What is the difference between the March to October mode and Franchise mode?

Franchise mode carries over multiple seasons. So think prospect draft, free agency, offseason, etc. March to October is a more linear experience where you play one season until you're either eliminated or win the world series. As far as I know it doesn't continue after that.

MTO carries over after the first year and dumps you into franchise mode. That said, MTO is like a season mode with limited options to get your feet wet. Franchise mode is complex just like real life, but you can make it as easy or as hard as you want. There are a lot of options that can be manual or auto.

I believe they said this year it no longer does that like it did last year. Just a one and done mode now
