I have a really good team all from opening packs.

Bryce Harper, Griffey, Lindor, Michael Brantley, JD Martinez, Pujols, Justin Turner, Pedro Martinez...

Does the value of the player go up if I perform well with them? Am I supposed to flip these players?

1st time playing DD so I needed a little a help on what I should be doing lol

As you play with them they get xp towards parralels, each tier level upgrades the card by 1 attribute point across all attributes. So tier 1 is +1 point etc.

Edit: I dont think the parallel upgrades stay on the card when you go to sell

You can also flip them if you are planning on completing the live series collection early, that is really up to you.

So the value of the card/player doesn't increase based on my performance with him?

No, their attributes increase through parallels but those only apply when they are on your team. The majority of cards depreciate heavily in value until they release the end game collection which I assume will have Hank Aaron as the reward.

So basically flipping my cards in the market is more for getting the team I want

Yes, stubs are king and flipping is the best way to make stubs, atm its being made difficult because of the servers but when everything’s fixed flipping will be a lot easier.

In my case, I really only want the Soriano collection reward so I’ll keep any National league live series cards and more than likely sell all the AL cards and probably the first two bosses.

When I do generate beat squad option it puts in players lower rates than the guys I'm starting. What's the reason for that? Example Bryce Harper 89 OVR and it will sub it Clemente 85 OVR for him

The card can increase in value based on their Real life stats.
    Attribute Upgrades can help prices.
Some people stock up on certain players and hope for a Gold to Diamond upgrade.. and then they can sell them and cash out for big profits..

As others have said, if you parallel a card, that stays with you. If you sell the card, you are selling the base card. If in the future, you pick that card up again, it starts where you left off (Example parallel II).

So you don't lose parallel, but others can't take advantage of your grind either.

As for cards to use, go with the ones that work best for you. Certain card timing works well with some people, while other people hate it. It's all personal preference.

A guy with an all silver team that he rakes with will beat a squad of 99 diamonds if the guy using the diamonds doesn't play well with those cards. In a year or two, you'll figure out who you do best with, and you can stick with those guys and/or new cards you want to try out.

As someone else said, I'm going for the NL collection, but I have no interest in Ortiz or Chipper due to using them in the past, they just aren't my best performing cards.

Tell them that you're the boss. You make all the decisions. You've really got to get your players under control.

That's what we're talking about, right?

Can't seem to get Pedro Martinez away from hookers and booze. Can't handle him.

Yeah I know I do my own lineups I just clicked that on accident and was curious.

One more question..... What do the symbols and numbers on the right of player cards mean? Diamond, gold, etc.

So the numbers are either the increase in attributes you are seeing from your parallels or inside edge. Inside edge is based on that cards performance against its real life match up. E.g. when nats are facing a right handed pitcher Kyle Schwarbers hitting against RHP goes up.

The bronze, silver, gold and diamond is just the rarity of the card. Live series players can go from silver to gold, gold to diamond etc. Based on their real life performance when the roster updates come out. Flashbacks and legends do not change in rarity.

Ohhh if you're looking at your Lineup screen...
The Icon and numbers is showing you how many of Each Tiers you have at that Position..

So for me.. If JD is my Starting LF.
    It shows
    LF Subs
    Diamond- 0
    Gold- 6
    Silver- 6
    Bronze- 11
    Common- 10

Cuz that's how many Left Fielders are in my inventory.

If it's a Stat related things you see that change thats inside Edge Boosts.
And you can tell those by the Blue ribbon on the bottom right. It'll be a Star with a 1-5 rating.. and that's based on your Player vs Whoever they're facing today in Real Life.

Defensively and contact wise, Clemente is a better RF than Harper. When generating best squad it factors in position, defence etc. I wouldn’t suggest using generate best squad, its more fun being the manager.

I'm talking about like for example JD Martinez bronze it will have a 4 next to it and then gold will have a 1 etc

    Okay thanks man.
