SDS why are we in constant Beta Mode ?
-
4 patches in around a week from launch of game ??? this is a joke at best
we did Beta phase in January - it completely shows a lack of confidence from the game devs in having to constantly change up the sliders and backend settings every couple of days

Best way to address bugs is to have massive amount of people playing the game and reporting issues ... Gamers are now bug testers, because modern gaming with patches allows programmers to fix reported issues with patches... It’s a good thing because back in the day gamers were stuck with the bugs in a game... Once it dropped that was it.... BUT they did test the games more extensively before releasing, but modern gaming is better, because testers always missed stuff... Today’s games get tested like crazy from the consumers....

thats a ridiculous philosophy
i would rather have 1 game that works perfectly on game launch - and updates for new cards and programs are simply updates not massive changes in backend coding - they have already all the telemetry data they need
the best part about old games was that it was released, people could expect strong gameplay from the gate, no need for random changes on backend coding.
don't forget the role of the Beta / Alpha / Pre Launch function

It’s just the reality of modern gaming ... They try new things, consumers test it, bugs are reported ... Programmers fix it ... Testing happens prior to release, but it’s not as critical as in years past because they can fix anything they want after release...
