Anyway for those who choose to be remotely constructive.... IN RTTS (bold RTTS) for those who truly lack comprehension...
Here’s an example,... I focused on speed in RTTS,... my current is 38 speed. it took four separate training sessions and I’m STILL at 38. So FIVE training sessions to raise 1 stat 1 point,.... that’s crazy grindy.
Ok ill break it down for you, seeing as you're struggling. Play in a large park, put it in beginner, hit balls in the gap and collect extra base hits. You get speed every single time you do that..... EVERY SINGLE TIME. when you get pluses EVERY SINGLE TIME you level up quickly. When you are batting, swing power and hit the ball well. When you do that you gain every single time... if you want to build contact, swing with contact swing and build every single time. Before the season is over, you level up to almost 50 in every single stat and when training comes up, build fielding. This really isn't that difficult to figure out and it's very easy and reasonably quick.
If you want to do this playing a real style with realistic results, yes it takes a long time so build you guy for a season or 2 and start over and your guy is boosted up.

I'll have you face my 94 ovr CAP out of the pen. D.i.s.g.u.s.t.i.n.g.

I’ve played multiple seasons now dude,... the pluses you get in game don’t move your overall anywhere near even mentioning. So spare me your inside knowledge. Go faux flex in some other thread.
Almost through with my third year. In the majors, all star,... NOTHING, not one f’n stat Is over forty yet. Almost all of them are still in the very low thirties. It feels like I’m not even really playing yet which was my OPs point. I want my fast base stealing slap hitter back and after focusing on core speed for multiple seasons,.... still not even at forty

Lol, sucks to be you then. I'll enjoy my 99 overall dd player while you struggle to build something so simple. Funny how the game treats you differently than the 5 other people that have done this and had a stacked up hitter before a season is even over. Guess you must have gotten a different version that we did.
What flex are you talking about exactly? That I know how to do something that has been a thing in the game since they changed to the build system that rewards you for doing things in game?
No idea why you've had hostility since you first posted in here but like I said, enjoy not getting any gains and crying because you can't level up on a simple system.
-
I’m being hostile??? Jeez thank the lord you can block people here,... what a complete troll loser

Most video games I ever played you start off very weak and low leveled and have to build your way up. So nothing new to me.
That’s not the main issue at all,... it’s taking years to get even average in base ratings. I play fifa and nhl and do the year to year player modes there too. Every year you have to start over... that’s not the issue,.... I’ve not experienced anything, ever that progressing was this painfully slow in.

Are people being paid by sds to defend this game on the forums? Lmao ignore the douche, the progression and stat counting in rtts is a broken mess
-
Actually I have to give @Rabid55Wolverine some props. He's got a point.
Most people who are playing RTTS are probably doing so for the "experience" - that feeling of the struggle of starting as a minor league prospect and slowly working your way to the bigs and eventually maybe to super-star level. Myself, I typically play at all-star difficulty because I don't want to hit 0.400 with 60+ dingers in AA.
But, if your goal is to simply amass progression as quickly as possible - then everything @Rabid55Wolverine has posted is perfectly legit. Set the difficulty way down. If you have custom stadiums, maybe make sure your home games are in a huge stadium with huge gaps which the AA outfielders are not be able to cover. Forsake ever using the "normal" swing and always use either "power" or "contact" depending on if you have a perk on one of them or which one you are trying to raise. And it makes sense - you will grind out the gains a LOT faster than the guy playing for the "experience". Every time your progression bugs out, go play a quick DD game, and then come back and go back to grinding out stuff in RTTS. For maximum time efficiency, turn off all the cinematics, turn off all base running opportunities (takes too long waiting for CPU batters), and only play your batting and fielding chances.
Out of curiosity, I started a new RTTS setup this way. Well, as "new" as I could given the new "universal profile" so I already had some perks and gear. And, yes, I levelled up much faster than I was playing as I normally do. But then again, through two months of AA ball I was hitting 0.560 and had 20+ doubles. So any sense of realism was completely trashed. Not how I prefer to play so I'll be deleting that career and starting over. Actually I'll be starting over in 2020 which just arrived in the mail today. But again, props to @Rabid55Wolverine - he does have a point. Just not how I prefer to play.

I think posting a tutorial would be better then personal attacks an bickering. Try explaining how you managed to get so high level before spitting on other members posts.

Another halfwit. It works and if you don't see how to do it, that's on you. I seriously don't get how people can't figure this out at all. Just do what I said and your guy levels up super fast. I'm a douche for what exactly? Having someone say im a liar and coming back at them?
Get some money back from your schooling, they seriously ripped you off.

Yeah I suppose you're right but I didn't start the bickering, I was called a liar basically and I shot back. When things were being tracked properly, everything leveled up very quickly but saying I'm lying instead of asking how to do it then crying that it can't be done when it clearly can is why I reacted the way I did.
All you have to do is produce results and you level up. You make it the easiest possible and you hit nonstop and rank up super fast. I think with 1 month to go, my guy is hitting .835 with probably 140 Homer's though I think it rolled over because the game can't track that high of a number, I know the rbi has rolled over. I didn't create a massive stadium though, I created a super small one, pretty much everything is a home run. I contact swing for no doubters. Ranks contact and power up super fast and then just go into fielding when you get training stuff.
Take a couple hours to almost max your guy out

Did you expect the player to be a 99 at the start. It's a grind but when the game works properly, it doesn't take long at all. My guy is 100 plus in every hitting category like contact, power and vision with a 80 plus fielding and 65 speed. That was before the game officially launched and I got to earn the stuff that I was doing.
Once it comes back, it'll go quickly to rank him up
I play this game every year,... the progression is SO SLOW this year,... it’s not starting low. It’s overall going from 30 to 31 after a full season. I’ve not experienced a sports game that starts you this low and progresses this slowly
No idea how you got 100 overalls when the caps are set at 50
And honestly after taking everyone’s careers away we’ve all been working on for years,... yeah, I’d expect them to make it easier to get your player leveled up
Caps are at 50s yes. The perks and loadout pkus equipment gets you higher. Getting the player to the 50 cap is simple, almost everything I have is there now, just power is a couple away and I didn't even finish the whole first season.
@rabid55wolverine.
I've no idea how you did that. I'm in my third year. Absolutely raking it in AAA for almost 2 years straight now.
Batting close to .380, league leader in homers (though it won't show me as league leader - because the AI only plays me in 50% of the games so I never qualify) The only time my manager called me in was to give me a rocket for failing on two steals in the same game and taking my green light away.Defensively I'm about the same as every other player.
I'm now in AAA and have about 30 hours in the game. Not even got a sniff of getting to the majors yet.
I've played all versions of MLBTS other than 2017 since it started. Including the Vita versions so I'm comparing to progress speed on other years not to progress speed in different games. -

I'm going to get about 350 to 400 hits in one season with 150 to 200 Homers. Basically I'm going the system

Ho humI'm on beginner which you can sneeze and hit a home run. Again, I don't care about rtts, im doing it for ratings for diamond dynasty because they force you to play rtts to build the guy up. I'm not going for realism, im not trying to see how my player can do in a real season, im just advancing my guy. I throw a movie on my laptop and mindlessly do it.
If you want a better player to start rtts, do that for a season and when you get a player you are happy with, start over and you will have the stats at a more boosted level that will allow you to progress at a better state instead of starting with a guy who is a 30 overall.
I get it if you do t want to do it, don't. But people are complaining that it takes forever to level a guy up and it doesn't have to. The game handcuffs you so take the handcuffs off, take a little time and job the game and you'll have a better time the next time you start.
-
Not saying you are lying. I believe you.
I'm saying that maybe a player shouldn't have to perform super-human feats like 150-200 homers and batting over 800 to get called up.
TBH - and i mean this sincerely. Out matching the game like that would totally ruin the RPG ness of RTTS for me. I play to be good, part of the team, feel as if my contribution helps.
Part of the machine - not the whole machine
Not a baseball god who can carry a team to the pennant on their own back every season. I would certainly get bored of overmatching the Ai by so much. So I believe you completely. But that being the case - that just strikes me as a badly balanced game.
Yes batting 800 and you'll swing to the Majors. But who wants to do that in a sim? Overbalance the game.
in 2020 I got to hall of fame at 45 YO and was gutted with .398 I spent years batting at .400 and that was my target. Failed in the last season. -
It may be an archetype thing?... But again some are missing the point. It’s not about performance so much as the ability to enjoy the mode. We can all dominate (hitting wise) on beginner and rookie I’d assume. My goal is the get a fast player who can steal. A Ricky Henderson 2.0 type. I’m over three seasons in now focusing speed, stealing and B aggressiveness primarily and none of those stats are over 40 yet. Even while ignoring most other stats which means most aside from contact etc have hardly moved. Even with my load outs my guy can’t steal bags with any consistency and is just now getting to the point he can move at all...
This also makes the spark plug archetype difficult to progress bc after bronze the progression is tied pretty heavy to bag stealing,... So yeah for me this year’s RTTS is like that South Park episode in that it’s far too long of a grind that isn’t even really playing the games much as spending a ton of time to just get to a point where I can. I’ll restart my real one on dynamic once my guy can FINALLY run,... I am also on PS4 too so creating a park isn’t an option for me. However we are talking mainly about RTTS core stats so anything outside that mode is somewhat relevant anyhow
