I want to play a 9 inning RS game this evening. Will the servers be messed up tonight? Anybody enjoying RS? Does RS give more xp than other modes?

Or should I just avoid it?

It showed 0 XP last night after RS games but I did eventually get it. You do get more XP in the offline grind, ie. Showdown. You can complete 2-3 showdowns in the time it takes to play 1 RS game. If you want the 40 win RS reward pack though you should probably get started.

I’ve played 8 RS games without issue. A few times I maybe got server issues after the game was done, but it didn’t impact anything. I say go for it.
