Is this how it's supposed to work?

I began my MLB The Show adventure on X cloud. I went through all of the start-up stuff pick your team, choose your difficulty, etc etc. I then went to load up the game on my local Xbox and I presume as it was the first time I was loading the game on the local hardware it wanted to take me through all of that again. is there no way to bypass this and tell the local copy that I already have stuff in the cloud please grab it? Am I just supposed to go through all that again to get to the part where I can tell it to load the stuff I've already done?

That's what I'm trying to figure out is how to get past the Welcome to our baseball World introductory stuff to get to where I can load my stuff from the cloud. if there's no way to bypass the getting started stuff and go straight to the load my cloud that seems like an extreme oversight because it's a waste of time to have to set everything up again just to get to that prompt.
