I think people need to realise, they absolutely went the "lets make some serious money" route this time around. Two major things that prove that are the fact they've made your RTTS character connected to DD, almost forcing you in to that mode to some extent. Secondly they brought the game to Xbox. Adding extra revenue through game purchases and extra players that now also, have play DD with their created character. Ofcourse this is also backed by their behaviour the last few days, not giving their community sufficient feedback and updates on their broken game. DD will be their focus, money making will he their focus. At this moment i cant see RTTS being in perfect condition for months, time will tell and i hope SDS proves me wrong.

New year. Same problems. I can’t believe I caved and bought the game this early. Oh well. A fool and his money are soon parted.

I agree, this is annoying, but, if we are all being honest with ourselves here, aren't we all expecting too much from SDS too fast? I mean, yeah, they can work 24/7 for 5 weeks straight, but after the 2nd or 3rd day, we are all already yelling at them to hurry up. We need to be more patient. I too wish this was fixed during the Tech Test, but it wasn't, so now we all have to wait for an update to fix this all. One more thing, I know this year has been especially bad, but EVERY game SDS has made so far has always had some bugs in it, and they have ALWAYS fixed the ones that bother the community the most, except for something that affects a gamemode nobody cares about or something. So, just give them some time, and we will all be thanking them for all the hard work they do for us, and making sure our lives playing this game are as enjoyable as possible.

im glad theres some positivity being thrown around <3. while im super annoyed that 30 of my first 40 hours are basically meaningless, im not about to trash on SDS due to a buggy launch (literally every big game launch is mostly bugs lmao)

It is not a buggy launch it is a broken launch. We should not just accept when a game releases in a broken state that is unplayable. SDS is not the victim. They are the ones that scammed people out of their money for early access and then released a product that does not work

most major games that came out in the last couple years have been terrible on release and the ones that weren't, broke in the first week or so. ive put up with awful games and devs that take literal months to fix things like the 45 days between apex legends updates which never end up balancing anything, and the 8 month wait for riot games to "fix" run and gun in valorant even tho it still sucks, and valve literally ignoring extremely unhealthy gun metas in csgo *cough cough kreig cough cough so the fact that they addressed the issue once it popped up means theyre already doing better than giants of the industry. also the fact that most of them are working from home doesnt help. just be patient, we spent a lot of money on this sure (i bought the $100 version) but we also have 359 more days to enjoy the game.and i promise that the "future update" (i also hated the wording in their dev post) isnt like a :3 weeks from now" thing but like a "few days from now" thing. Now, all of that being said, early access was perfect til the first update when the progression issues started outside of the marketplace issues, which tbh i don't blame them for fixing first because people bought stubs literally from minute one and when they cant spend the money that they already spent, yeah i'd wanna fix that first. I also dont blame them for prioritizing DD over RTTS when DD obviously has a bigger number of players spending irl money for equipment and players. They fixed 2 of the big 3 issues, all that's left is RTTS which they literally said theyre working on. I understand it's disappointing and it can be hard to stick with it when RTTS is basically unplayable, but that doesn't mean that they aren't trying to fix it cuz they 100% are. They've been working on literally ever aspect of the game since early access started so i can't find it in me to be upset at some unforeseen and unfortunate events. They didn't know these issues would happen.

DD does not have a bigger player base according to everything I’ve read,... RTTS is the most played mode

@TheRealHan17_PSN Some of the issues, sure. You can't account for everything in a live environment. But others? This game has had server issues at launch every single year since like 15. it's not new. It's worse, but not new. Knowing that, which I do and you do and SDS sure as hell does, it's entirely foreseeable that when you tie single player progress to an always online component and that component stops working, single player progress stops. You cannot progress in the majority of this game without being online, and you cannot be online because, like every year, the servers have issues. It is extremely fair to be upset at SDS for making the conscious decision to tie an otherwise offline mode to their crappy servers.

The biggest issue, and I think you'll agree, is basically their lack of transparency here. People literally cannot progress in this game. RTTS loadout progress and switching is flat broken. DD players are getting booted out of games and not getting their rewards. SDS I am sure is working on them but as you mention saying 'future release' is just terrible phrasing. They need to come out and say what is wrong and be very specific on how they're working on it. This isn't like a roadmap issue, and like tying RTTS to DD was a gameplay decision so whatever. I'm happy they're looking at it but that takes time. There are very specific bugs that clearly prevent playing from playing the game SDS intended and they need to give a more concrete ETA on when a bug fix is inbound.

Everyone who keeps making excuses for a company with various resources at hand to test their game out, and to hire other companies to legit load their servers testing it's strength, you're the reason these companies feel no need to waste money on those resources or feel pressured to release a complete game, you have to understand The number one mode in MLB the show history, is unplayable.... the vary mode that's partly in the title of the game itself....Progression is everything in a video game, and time is money, you catering to the big business instead of holding them accountable for waisting allot of it's fanbase time and money, I took time off to enjoy this game that I couldn't play, you don't know what other people's personal situation is, if you pay money for something how is it the consumers responsibility to be patient if the product doesn't work, some of you need to have some self respect and not let these big companies off the hook

Yeah maybe I’m just an a hole but I disagree vehemently. When weighing between a marketplace not working and one of your most popular modes being unplayable, call me crazy but I think you should prioritize the mode not working first. Other games being buggy or broken is not an excuse. That is literally the “everyone else is doing it” excuse and it is just as much a cop out now as it was when we were four. Having more time to play means nothing. It is the principle of the matter. You are correct we all paid money, many of us on the more expensive side. That is what makes the fact that I cannot get what I paid for more aggravating. As I’ve said before, in zero other industry is it acceptable to release a defective product and tell people to deal with it. On that line, it is comical to say that early access worked perfectly before the update because that was literally for like a day. The other 4 did not work at all. I am not saying they aren’t working on it, but they are sure taking their sweet time meanwhile we are stuck with a game we can’t play. I will say it again: if one of your core game modes is not functional then you have two choices. Either you release the game with that mode locked and apologize for the delay and give people a chance to refund while making that your number one priority or you delay the entire release until the entire game functions. Given the state of the rest of the game, they should have picked the latter.

The devs are all busy on the stationary bike generators trying to keep the servers powered on. When they get tired and slow down we all get disconnected. It’s part of their green initiatives.

The fact it's a Sony game means there's zero chance it would get pulled from the PS Store like Cyberpunk was. And this game is really buggy, it's not just the servers. The fact is that they really have never been held accountable as a company which has always been a problem (for us).
