I am new to the game, and have been looking at the cards in the diamond dynasty mode. I see that some players have a little arrow below their main player rating that is either green with a higher number or red with a lower number. What does this sub-rating reflect? Is it a player's real life rating, or is this the marketplace trend? Is there a good source about Diamond Dynasty for beginners?

This little arrow is known as Inside Edge (you can find it on the home tab of DD). Basically this applies only to LS and is based on real life matchups. For example, you look at a players card, Trout in this case, and scroll over to the “inside edge” tab you will see that trout has had success against pitchers similar to the one he is playing today so it boosts his stats (which you can see +8 Con R and +8 Pow R on his attributes).

Thank you for explaining that, I think it makes sense to me now. So this arrow basically is referencing the stats and trends as it relates to the actual game being played by Mike Trout on the Major League Baseball schedule for today. Does using Mike Trout in DD today in the Show 21 have any impact from this inside edge arrow?

Depending on the teams/players stats vs that handedness of pitcher for that day (real life) inside edge reflects that into a boost or drop in the stats to the players card for just that one day.

So does it solely depend on the LIve Series pitcher you’re playing?? How is it that my Roberto Clemente and Eric Davis have the green higher overall under their base overall

That means u have paralleled them which is a new thing they’ve added based on the stats you earn with that card. That’s how legends and flashbacks can go up
