May have found something to help with bad framerate for XBOne
-
So like many have posted, the Xbox One version OFFLINE stutters a lot and is almost unplayable.
I have 2 Xbox in my home, one is the OG one from 2013 (Original Black model one that looks like a VCR)and one is Xbox One S (White color). I've have been playing the White Xbox One S all day today with MLB 21.
So tonight, I downloaded the game to the OG XB One and as that one is in my bedroom. To my surprise, the game played smooth offline!
I did a comparison between the OG XBO and the XBO S, and found that the OG video resolution was set to 720P, while my XBO S was set to 1080P (or HDR when I hook it up to my 4K tv).
So I changed the XBO S to 720 P and it played much much smoother.
Maybe this is a fix or placebo. Maybe some of you with Xbox One can try it out and let me know if it makes the game run smoother on XB One.
But would really suck that I would need to switch the video output to 720p whenever I play MLB 21 on my xbox one. While every other game runs fine with my HDR or 1080p settings.

I had a stutter issue on the PS4 when I got it a Friday and I had to go into my TV setting to fix it. Not sure if that answers your question but it fixes the issue for me.

what settings did you change though

It was my TV, not the game setting. My TV was set to something like movies or sports and I changed that to Gaming. Then went to advance and changed the I think flicker or something like that. I think I changed it to high because it was on low. Most TV's have these days have these different modes.

makes no sense that we have to change all our tv settings for just one game.
